In the eyes of the polls we did.

How did you come to that conclusion? Everyone in front of us won except for Oregon, and they lost to a top 5 team on the road.

Who could they move us in front of, besides possibly Oregon?

We were underrated to start the season with a basically new QB?

MSU started moving the ball before the half and then again after the half.

yep we pretty much shut down the offense when it was 14-0

This is when the defense is supposedly rested because the offense was so open in the first half

first quarter...not half

Your theory doesn't hold water at all.

when offenses sputter defenses don't get tired?

Ok genius...which defense should be more tired at the end of the game...one that played 80 plays or one that played 60 something plays

Saying we won is pumping sunshine

No, being OK with the way the game was played and put in the hands of the other team makes you a sunshine pumping pussy.

Quote me where I said I was completely OK with the game.

What I find funny though is the completely different way this game is being reacted to compared to last year's game against MSU. In both games the road team jumped out to a huge lead only to have a ball in the air to beat them at the end. And somehow, apparently MSU embarrassed us by squeaking out a win while we embarrassed ourselves for doing the same. How does that work exactly?

Were all of you miserable bastards too stupid or too drunk to remember that we kept getting called for penalties which put the coaching staff in positions that they had to be more conservative than they wanted to be. This was our first game which was sloppy at times and the play calling was not off considering the situations. Would you rather Harris be called to throw on 3rd and 12 and make a devastating mistake that shreds his confidence or call a conservative play that holds the lead and gets us out of mississipi with a win

if sunshine was a dick, you'd have your mouth full

Harris made a great throw for a TD that was nullified due to a penalty...you don't think that boosted his confidence even if it was called back?

How the frick is he going to get better if the staff is holding him back because they think he might throw a int...guess what? INT's happen in a game...this staff and how they handle the qb position is so arse backwards...quit pampering these qb's and let them sling the rock.

even when we play the smaller schools in the past, which I think is a perfect time fine tune your passing, we still don't.

we can make some major improvement from our FIRST game of the season

like I said at the half...i'm reluctant to see what happens next, but I'm all about seeing some major improvements in the passing game.

Nobody said we embarrassed ourselves. We said that the game should have been put away and not put in the hands of the opposing team. Again was another poorly coached game. Fans would like to see improvement upon mistakes not repetitiveness. I'm sure State fans were pretty pissed they almost lost last yrs game as well.

There were plenty if teams that didn't deserve their ratings. If we keep our offense in gear and defeat MSU soundly, it moves us 5 spots IMO

You do know this was our first game right? We didn't have the luxury of a tune up game and the coaches were unwilling to put pressure on harris to win the game late when all we needed to do was run the clock down and get out with a win on the road in a loud stadium against an SEC team. You said it yourself Harris had already done plenty to build confidence and the bottom line is that this game goes down as a win, harris has built that confidence on the road, and we now get to face Auburn at home.
They have a quarterback by the way that was asked to do too much too early and seems to be questioning himself and whether he can play at this level I guess you would prefer Harris to be in the same position as Jeremy Johnson though.
