I think the program will be fine. Maybe even challenge for the division in 2009.

I hadn't lost faith in him before the win.

He's a great coach and LSU's lucky to have found him.

GT was a patsy, but a win is a win.

But securing a top recruiting class will do much also.

maybe seeing him at practice everyday gave him the insight as to why he didn't get that chance earlier. How do you know that he would not have been just as bad as Lee if he was thrown into the fire.

and how exactly would playing jj earlier in the season have hurt the team? les screwed up this year, and hopefully j lee won't be permanently scarred from les' blunders.

I'm just asking because this had me curious: what would make you start eating that crow?

never did..never will. the man can coach..the man can recruit..the man has balls..the man is loyal to LSU. it's like back in the day when an adversary would start woofin' and we would just say, "look at the scoreboard fool." the scoreboard says 42-11 with bowl wins over Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Georgia Tech. Coker, Weiss, Tressel and Johnson..the latest 'genius' to be outcoached by Miles. oh ye of little faith.

how do you know that the opposite would not have happened? JJ struggles the entire year and Lee comes in and looks great?

Not really. How could he have looked at Lee and Jefferson every day in practice and still play Lee over him. He was not a very good judge of talent - at least at the QB position. I suppose this also applies to Crowton.

how could he watch jefferson every day at practice and not see that he deserved a chance. ESPECIALLY since lee was a nightmare

Maybe J.Lee looked really good against malveto's D in practice.

I stated, among other things, that I'm still not convinced he's a great coach.

I would love to be able to eat crow on that. Some might say he has already proven that. I'd say it's still not conclusive.

Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Alabama would have eaten him alive and no head coach would have made a panic move like that. up until Hatch got hurt the co-qb was workable, if not spectacular. it was obviously our best chance to win.

dude, you are rediculous bordering on pathetic. 42-11..got brains?

I knew things would get better but did not expect it as early as the game.

It's not called a 'down' or 'rebuilding' year for nothing. The losses are supposd to be difficult to sit through and digest. 5 maybe one too many but I like how we finished.

Knew Miles was a great bowl coach, but I still didnt have faith in the defense. It was a great matchup for us since GT cant throw.

It really put my fiath in JJ.
