Why would I do this????? Saban has been gone and Miles did very good job of keeping the program whereSaban left it... BUT nt the last 4 years....

The last 4 years under Miles= 3 10 win seasons.

Saban's entire tenure= 2 10 win season.

The last 4 years= 3 top 16 finishes
Saban's entire tenure at lsu= 3 top 16 finishes.

Yeah saban really left a juggernaut. Its like you refuse to use facts in your ignorant arguments.
And before you post something stupid, wins and losses are what determines a program's success.

Come on, dude. Let's not act like Saban didn't completely change the culture at LSU and that he didn't leave an embarrassment of talent. Obviously kudos to Les for maintaining it for a lengthy period of time.

As the best tenure in lsu history. Your opinion doesnt just make his win %,titles, great seasons disappear.

Rick, you know as well as I, people will remember his last few years where we stumbled and bumbled and IMO underachieved.....not his earlier years. What have you done for me lately? the fact that you dont like this notion doesn't mean that people wont feel/think this way.

I never said Saban didnt change the culture. He did. But peej acts like Saban left miles a top 5 program and miles ran it into the ground the last 5 years. Miles inherited a program with 1 top 5 finish in over 2 decades.
Whats funny is postrs acting like pur last 5 years destroyed what saban built yet our last 5 years are better than Saban's tenure.
4 out of the last 5 years were 10 win seasons. Saban had 2.
Of course saban cam into a worse situation than miles did but this notion tbat we have sicked the last 4-5 years is just bullshite.

Well thats dumb. What he did frm 2005-2011 doesmt just go away because we had 1 8-5 season in between 10 win seasons. Whats really crazy is out last 4 years havent even been shitty. 3 10 win seasons. We are 2nd in the west in conf wins. We werent reaching our goal of sec west champs but we most definitely didnt suck.
Im glad Miles is gone and have had a blast watching our offense this notikn that Miles legacy takes a huge hit because he had 3 10 win seasons in his last 4 years is mind blowing. Our only bad year was 2014 when we started the 2nd most freshmen in the country.

Let me be clear. Miles needed to go and he wasnt reaching our goals but lets not act like we were having 7&8 win seasons.

I get that and im not calling anyone a dumbass for felling this way. Im just saying youre setting yourself up to view the next coach as a failure if he doesnt win 10 games 4 out of 5 years because people on here have deemed it a failure for Miles.
I do agree miles legacy takes a hit for post 2011 but it shouldnt be this massive hit because we were still 2nd in the west in wins.

I do think we were headed for a bad year this year and with every convincing win it's an indictment of miles.

This debacle really did it for a lot of folks. miles was never the same coach after that. His offenses became stale and despite the wins, there was the perception that he left too much on the table every year.

2013 offense was one of the best offense in lsu history.

Also we had bama dead to right 2 times in that span and chavis let us down. The offense did enough to give us a lead with a minute left and defense let us down.
Im glad Miles is gone because this fan base, that i used to love and tout, has been fractured and at each other's throats. Just that alone makes me glad he is gone. Ive had more fun watching lsu the last 4 games than i had since 2011. I just refuse to call to say the most successful coach in lsu history has been irreparably tarnished because during a 4 year span we had 3 top 16 finishes,3 10 win seasons, and were 2nd in sec wins in the sec west.
We weren't reaching our goals and miles was justly fired but lets not act like we were this shite program that was having constant 7-8 win seasons. Numerous sec programs recruit just as well as lsu does and they havent been consistently as good as lsu the last 4 year.

But hey its your opinion brother. I wont say youre not allowed your opinion.

I never said we were horrible/schit. I simply believe we underachieved and lost some big games (that we had in our grasp) that cost us dearly in the in the playoff picture.
Miles was a big part of these disasters.

Gosh Red, it's nice to see that a dick-with-ears like yourself has time to worry about somebody calling me bad names. You should probably worry more about how fellow posters feel about you then being concerned about me though. Thanks anyway you little dick licker!

What?
LF had the 2nd highest single season rushing yards per game in sec history.
He broke lsu's rushing and td record.

The question was did he cost him the heisman not did he break lsu records. He did because of the Alabama game miles stubbornness and predictability allowed bama to gang up on the run and key on fournette. They held him to under 40 yards if we had any offensive imagination or a changeup if you will to make bama respect another aspect of the game and allow fournette a little room to run he could've produced a decent game. Weather we won the game or not if fournette had a good game he wins the heisman.

If Les hadn't listened to Frank Wilson and recruited/signed Tyrann Mathieu he would have been fired long before this season.
