Did Les just say the team had to talk him into flying the French flag Saturday?

I know the coach is very busy and probably consumed in game preparation 24/7 but is he really that cutoff from the goings on in the world?

Miles doesn't use the term french fries, he calls them freedom fries.

In his defense, I'm sure he had a full plate. With the want to fly a French flag probably right around the bottom of that plate.
Cut the guy some slack for a change

French tribute: Hawkins ran onto the field Saturday holding the French flag in a sign of support for the terrorist attacks in Paris last Friday. Miles said the team made the decision to carry out the flag “late in the pregame” and that he needed to be talked into it. “The wisdom of connecting with people that are disadvantaged and have suffered terrible tragedy in terrorism, which is not only a national but an international issue, I felt like it was the right thing,” Miles said.

Was anyone else bothered by how low Jalen Mills was carrying the American flag? Our men fight too damn hard to keep that flag high in the air but it looks like all Mills cares about was looking cool. Not gonna lie I was pissed, that flag drug the ground a couple of times

He was just trying to make the point that the players were the one's that wanted to do it. Not anyone else.

On more than one occasion Les has said that he does not read books, newspapers or watch tv. So he may not have known about it.

I think you need to find better things to be mad about.

Or maybe he just wanted the players to get the credit for the idea to run out with the flag?
This is getting out of control.

maybe flying the french flag is why LSU lost. signaling defeat before the game even started.
eta: that was a joke. lighten up downvoters.

We were going to war with someone and France refused to let us use their air space to attack.
