Yep. Late in the game we had 6 DB's with three guys with hands on the ground. We were blitzing at least one though.

It is a 3-4 just by numbers but it's a hybrid defense.

I agree with the blitzing but it hs to be selective. No team ever blitzed more with less success than our '08 defense. Teams knew it was coming on every play and they read it like a book. You do it when you have the chance to get that big stop (or TO) and get it back quick for the O. This D will probably only get one chance to do that per possession. Doing it as a steady diet with our speed at LB is Russian roulette unless the opposing QB is so bad there's nothing but empty chambers in the gun. There are some of those - like Prescott - but against good ones you'll have to pick your spots. GA did a good job of that at the end of our game.

Our guys need to play better and our D staff needs to get their heads out of their posterior and face the fact that the talent level is not there this year. Time to get to work not to "fix it" (not gonna happen) but to patch it as best you can. Try to get the O a few extra looks and let them wear the other D out.

wished rasco would have produced half of drama he created in recruiting

this defense is not producing like the past..its not happening. you cant just fix things like that

and miles praised chavis in todays presser. i mean common...are you kidding me. what has chavis done to be praise

look at ellis johnson at auburn. what he is doing with mediocore talent is so awesome.
