100%. Living in Denver has made me appreciate everything even more. Now let's go end a winning streak.

but moving away from Louisiana a few years ago has really made me grow as a fan
I agree.
I have been out of Louisiana (thank God) for a long time. That's why all the crybabies and defeatist idiots on this board are so entertaining.
If you really love something you don't spend every moment of your God-given life trying to tear it down.
The Bama planted posters on this board do one hell of a good job. They have even turned some of the people who seem to at least follow LSU.

Another thing that living out of state will do is make you hate certain fanbases and love others.
I lived in Dallas for a while. I never like Texas Shorthorns. Never really knew why, but I didn't like them. After living in Dallas for six years I HATED the team and the "TEA-SIP" fans.
Living in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas, I wanted to watch the LSU vs Auburn game. I wound up in a bar in Plano TX after calling around to see if anyone would carry it.
I wound up sitting at the bar watching on a TV with no sound. It was an Auburn bar and they had a room in the back, TV with sound.
Anyway, a tall guy was sitting next to me and we started talking. Turns out he played TE and was on the basketball team for Kentucky. Great stories and cool guy.
Anyway, this was the "Earthquake" game. And I was fricking dancing like a fool at the bar after Eddie Fuller caught the TD from Hodson. The Kentucky dude is like "Watch this". He walked down the hall towards the bathrooms which was past the Auburn viewing party room and started yelling "LSU, LSU, LSU" while strutting by the homo fans.
I did the same damn thing. Neither of us had to go to the bathroom so at the end of the hall we just turned around and danced past the Auburn fans chanting LSU, LSU, LSU again.
I don't hate and will never hate Kentucky because of that night. I pull for them in everything UNLESS they are playing LSU. frick the Tea-sips and their team forever.

I believe the only way to like Baton Rouge is to not live there.
I feel you here. Moved away from it twice, both times on purpose. I enjoyed being the minority in Houston and now in Nashville, it was somewhat annoying to be among only LSU fans, in general, because that means almost every idiot I come across is on my side.

I didn’t notice any words or text in your post. More pics please.

I definitely own more LSU t-shirts now that I live 800 miles away. I miss the food more than anything else though.

It grew when I moved away. Joined the Army and missed everything about home. Well, most things.

I moved to Atlanta about 3 weeks after graduation in 1993. I used to be shocked at how many “big time fans” live in and around Baton Rouge that don’t ever go to games.

I also left La in 1996 to Charlotte, NC. then moved to Dothan Alabama in 2011. I definitely understand the portion of the Bama crowd that can make it almost intolerable at times. I sport my LSU gear win or loose becausethey can never break me down. There are some really cool Bama fans then there are those that are pure shite.
