Well, get ready, that's one of their bread and butter plays (as it should be with the speed that they have at the skill positions). The key is the "running it well" part. I think LSU will be fine.

True, but we have to be chasing him around behind the line of scrimmage and bottling him up not chasing him once he gets to or behind linebackers. Other than Ingram and Richardson he will be the most difficult assignment this defense has this season as well as that one wide receiver who is really fast. Might consider letting PP get a rest from the punt returning so he stays fresh on defense.

I remember an O-Linemen from Va. Tech who ran his mouth regarding LSU.

That sure turned out well.

the key to stopping guys like that is not to let them get outside or turn the corner!

Actually his exact quote was.........

quote:

I think our tempo is faster than their defense, and I think my speed is faster than their defense,” Devine said. “I don’t think there is much comparison

I'm actually kinda surprised that an opposing player would say locker room material like this. Oh well......................if the defense wasn't jacked to play this game before, they are now.

Devine is just like Rainey and Demps, nothing LSU has'nt already seen! just don't let him get outside and everything will be fine.

Dear Noel,

The "LSU Tigers" you practiced against are not the same as the real deal.

You didn't know he was stupid? He thought about coming to LSU, but the coaches knew he wouldn't have the grades, so he went to W.V.

You're on the wrong thread. The one titled ...delusional, is above.

Chavis needs to send Devine a Christmas card this year. Devine already gave Chavis his present.

He didn't realize that the scout team they use to mimic LSU's defense is not really LSU's defense. That kind of stuff is still very confusing to him.

Our defense is built on speed. Maybe not (certainly not, according to y'all) as fast overall as LSU, but still pretty fast. Lots of FL athletes on D. The first team O went against the first team D this week, to help prepare.

Perhaps this team hasn't, but WVU has seen plenty of defenses better than what LSU puts on the field this year. That's not a slam on your D, but just a little info to temper your delusional beliefs.

Previous years results have no bearing on this game. That's like LSU fans saying WVU 2010 is nothing like the UF or Alabama offenses of the last few years. The fact is this will be a good test for both the LSU defense and the WVU offense.

Geno has done a tremendous job of finding open receivers, but sometimes he doesn't make the correct read. There has been a few times when he throw down field to a receiver when Devine had ran a dump off to the flats and was wide open. Granted, in most of these situations we moved the chains...but Devine would have picked up 40+ yards.

WVU has the most speed we've ever had as a whole with our skill players. Their YAC have been really impressive this season.

Not this year they haven't. Not even close. Who they faced in years past helps this year exactly how?

It doesn't. It was just to temper the rabid belief that your defense is lights out. Yeah, we've played nobody, so far, but if you think MSU, Vandy and a very depleted UNC is murderers row, well, you'd be wrong.

While your D is witout a doubt better than any we've seen, WVU's offense is better than anything you've seen. And, we have better defensive numbers than you, although you've played a bit better competition.
