ETA: Devin is a great interview. We’ve been blessed to see some absolute studs/great people represent LSU in the last few years with Leonard, Devin, Rashard, Guice, Jamal, Tre White etc.

Takes a lot of practice to get used to holding on to the ball while getting pummeled. He's never carried the ball at this level.
Fridge Perry had 8 carries in his career and 2 fumbles and 2 TDs
That's a 25% fumble/carry rate and a 1/1 fumble/TD rate

True but the guy did rush for over 5,000 yards and 80 TDs in high school, he was a consensus top 5 RB in the country. I’d give him the ball with some degree of trust

Fair enough and I know he ran in HS. There is an element of rust here though and getting hit by SEC front 7's is a tad different.
Honestly though, with our weaker than normal RB slate, who knows what will happen.

Defenders in his path would be...fehoked.
Bad jokes aside I think ole wild man Tory Carter gets some clutch carries this year for those situations. He looked damn good last season In limited action.

Yeah i doubt he ever gets a carry but it would be fun to see him score a TD in some garbage time non-conference game
