Beau and Bryce were always at the top of their class moving up but the ceiling was much lower than a Foster or Drost.

What's so frustrating with Brody is everything appears at least to me to be mental at the plate...2 K's on 6 pitches, and I think 4 of them the bat is on his shoulder clueless like he's just not seeing the spin. What college team wouldn't take a 6'2" lefty with power and a strong arm in the outfield?

Pitching wise, I want to see Lansville and Shaffer get another taste, and to see more of Collins. Haven't seen Dutton or G Fontenot yet at all.

It was reported he had not been effective in spring. He will get his chance.

Yea, I was talking more of Pearson at the plate and to see exactly how bad he looks defensively. Unfortunately for him there are not enough AB to go around at the DH position for him to struggle defensively. Especially if Berry can't figure it out defensively and locks into the DH spot.

This is correct. Though it was always fun watching the Jordan brother play. No one played harder.

It's gonna be an uphill battle for any of the guys that suck it up this year. We have at least 2-3 day 1 starters coming in next year if they don't go pro - and I think Jay will also be very active in the transfer portal and on the juco front. You really just don't have to wait for guys to figure it out anymore.

On the JUCO front, we seem to be much more active on the pitcher side than the position player side. I've not found any position players we're after. In general to me it makes sense to bring in a juco catcher in most seasons, but we've got 3 HS ones committed and one guy redshirting. Plus Milazzo and Travinski with eligibility remaining.

Neal, Kling, and Romero have said the right things as far as getting to campus, but we'll see how that works out.

For now, sure. You can just fill the room with as many arms as you can then see who sticks. You always need arms - you always take arms. You have to be a little more calculated with position players - you don't know just what you need yet.

Nearly every position player committed could start day 1.

That would be huge if they could count on him in high leverage, late game situations too, cause I don’t think they were expecting to, considering his youth.

Over a month ago I posted that my source told me that Gervase would be the primary closer. They WERE counting on him.

Drost was a really good pitcher before getting to Lsu if he can’t figure out swing maybe he should try to make a move to the mound

I know it is more for recruiting board, but it will be very interesting to see how the draft goes with this recruiting class.

I have a spreadsheet I have been keeping up with for a couple years that I will probably share a screen shot on the recruiting board that I think you would like Project.

I'm always interested in someone else contributing to the recruiting thread.

I was wondering the same. A guy I work with has seen him on the mound a few times and was telling me it was pretty good stuff.

One recruit I have become unabashedly excited about is Ethan Frey. Of the 3 catchers in the class, I think he's the most likely to get to campus.

But also he was at the Super 60 earlier this year and clips from that were hitting twitter right around the same time I was binge watching the show Reacher on Amazon. The physical similarities between Frey and Reacher are uncanny.

6'5, 215 lb starting QB, catcher, corner IF, P.

Sounds decent.

Yea, he is a big boy. I think he doesn't quite get as much recognition yet because he plays multiple sports. Curious to see how much his stock goes up leading to the draft.

Also, I posted the spreadsheet I was talking about on the recruiting board. It's nothing special but something to keep the info in one place.
