The only guy on college gameday that thinks LSU should be #1 based on strength of schedule.
Everyone else kept talking about OSU being dominant all season and Desmond is the only person that said LSU had the harder schedule and won every game. Said if SOS did not matter then why is 27-0 defending champion Clemson not #1?

To be fair, Herbie said he thinks LSU should be #1 earlier this week, but he doubts the committee will make the swap no matter today's outcomes.

That's a legitimate point but I think in Desmond Howard's case, he genuinely likes LSU. He's always pretty complimentary of LSU.
Speaking of which, I've noticed that most of the fun people and personalities at ESPN tend to be the ones that like LSU. SVP, Desmond Howard, Dave Neal, come to mind. Guys like Shaq, obviously he went there but still, he's not from Louisiana so I think it's just the aura surrounding LSU. The colors are vibrant, the crowd is rowdy, it's a party school in a party state. People who like to live and have fun are fans of LSU.
Cynical, miserable, curmudgeons tend to be the ones that don't like LSU. Pat Forde, Gary Danielson, Rece Davis, David Pollack, miserable pricks like that.
