Florida and LSU's 2 BCS titles has more merit than USC's 1 BCS and 1 AP

So USC's BCS wins don't outweigh Florida and LSU's?

Look at the conference they both play in!!! USC has been GREAT since 2002. NOBODY better. But since they play in a weaker conference they will countinue to suffer when they LOSE a game in said conference!!!

USC is the clear winner going into this season. If LSU or Florida win the title they'll obviously slide to #1. LSU has not been nearly as consistent as USC imo.

SEE what I said above. They can't countinue losing to VERY lesser talented teams within the Pac-10 on a yearly basis. They are NOT #1!!!

The Rant is hillarious. The PAC 10 isn't Conference USA. It's not as strong as the SEC, but it's not a bottom dweller either. Look at what USC did to SEC teams when they played them this decade. 167-38 in 4 games. 2 home games, 2 road games and USC won all of them EASILY.

Ah...like LSU losing to Kentucky and Arkansas when LSU was ranked #1?

It may be , BUT I am NOT. USC would not have had the same sucsess week after week in the SEC that they had in the Pac -10!!!! Try to argue that. I will say this. If they had beaten Texas they would be #1 in my book, Also if they somehow win it this year they are #1!!!!!

you still haven't explained why you rank USC #1?

No way Oklahoma is ahead of LSU, they have b een blown out every time they play for the NC by USC, FLA and LSU. They never deserved to be there in the first place.

1. Gators 2. TIGAHS 3. Trojans

I thought I did multiple times. Reading comprehension on here isn't the highest though. (Not talking about you Ponchy)

USC has a better record, more BCS wins, the same number of titles-dispute all you want, and they don't play ULL, Tech, Appalachian State, Troy, Tulane, or North Texas. They've gone out and scheduled tough OOC games and Gasp they've actually played tough teams on the road. They are 4-0 against the SEC, winning those games 167-38. They also actually went undefeated, something neither Florida or LSU did. They didn't need to jump from 7 to 2 in the last poll to make it into the title game after losing to 2 unranked teams while being ranked #1.

Now come back with the classic arguement of "But, but, but they're not in the SEC." I'm done with this topic because no matter what anyone says, "LSU or Florida are the best because they're in the SEC."

Except for the time they WON IT. And they have played in it 4 fricken times. Would it better if they just won the Alamo bowl those other 3 years rather than finishing 2nd?

I think Florida was the obvious choice to most on this site.

Why is that? LSU has won more games, won more bowls by far and has two national titles!

The 90s are still killing LSU!

During the span that USC has been really competitive (2002), for LSU:

2002 - Arkansas
2003 - Florida
2004 - Iowa
2005 - Tennessee
2007 - Kentucky, Arkansas
2008 - Arkansas

LSU has lost to lesser teams as well during that span.

USC has lost to:

2003 - Cal
2006 - UCLA
2007 - Stanford
2008 - Oregon St.

It isn't exactly like they are consistently losing to bums. That's four games since 2002, so almost 1 game every two years.

The problem for you is that ITS TRUE!!!!! Don't think for 1 second that USC didn't realize they HAD to play a tough OOC to match up with what the SEC schools have to play week after week.

Look, I think USC has an argument, but its not clear cut. Especially over Florida.

1)USC has two seasons where they didn't have winning records. (Florida, LSU, etc. have none)

2)They have 1 unshared National Title; Florida has two undisputed titles.

3) USC's overall record is marginally better. And while I am not one to go around saying the SEC is the end all, be all...USC has objectively played weaker schedules most years (there is a reason why the computers annually screw them). Appalachian State or not, LSU and Florida have played tougher schedules

AAAAAAAAGAIN Oklahoma never deserved to play for the NC and the year they playeed and beat FLA State was extremely controversial as well if you remember, Fla state never deserved to be there as well(see fla state vs. Miami game, etc)

What would have happened had Notre Dame been decent this decade? Notre Dame and USC get WAY too much love from the national media and it is just pathetic!
