A la, Zenon in the SECCG against Tennessee. He recognized the formation, told the safety to play over the top that he was jumping the route. It was a pick 6.

This wasn’t the issue at Ark. they were running 7-8 man zones. He hasn’t seen that much. There are plays to pick zone apart and Denbrock didn’t run those.

Until Denbrock gives JD a safety outlet when he is getting blitzed, we will have same result against UAB and A&M. JD appears to never anticipate the blitz, and almost never rolls out...so the rushers know exactly where JD will be every play...in a collapsing pocket. We need to roll out and flood a zone...on run or pass option. When defenders rush to tackle, throw the pass just before reaching the los, to a receiver that has broke long.....just like Bama did on their go ahead td. Our passing game needs so much improvement. Not sure Denbrock has the know how.

His brain was just slow, maybe the cold flu etc but he was missing the reads, runs, passes etc.

They have run a bunch of wide receiver screens with very little success. The ball doesn’t get out there on target or on time. Drives me nuts. They keep running them anyway. So maybe you have something.

They did call a quick pass to 27 out of the backfield on a third down to convert a first in the first half. Would have like to have seen more of that.

That is your root cause. As well as Daniels has played, he looked timid and unsure of himself against Arky.

When he does call short passes, JD is very inaccurate with the ball. Always seems to be behind the receivers. Play calling is not the probably most of the time.
