Ok I'll concede you that. What I meant more was there's no way he's actually gone this offseason. Still depends on next season's results.

If this rumor about the boosters being willing to pony up the buyout is true

I really don't think it is...if so I still think he would have to lose the next 2 and bowl game to get fired

I've taken a step back from this board the past few days and have laughed every day since Saturday. You really think Miles is going anywhere anytime soon? He could lose out this year and his seat isn't even legitimately hot unless the team comes out slow next year. The buyout is too large, Miles is too accomplished, and this team and program that he has built has been too successful. You don't throw all of that away over a two game losing streak and are still ranked the top 15 team in the country. I know a lot of you don't know what to do with yourselves if you can't post on here to bash the program or Miles, but why don't you step back, take a breathe, and see how the season plays out. Getting worked up over absolutely no possibility of change right now makes no sense. Miles isn't going anywhere until the end of the 2016 season at the very earliest and that's only if he has another 3-4 loss season in similar fashion to this and last year. So chill the hell out and deal with it.

Finally someone that has a real understanding of the situation.

At least you recognized this

I did. Have you recognized that he can no longer beat Bama, his team quits after that game, and the same mistakes are made over and over again?

Again, he's done great things for LSU, but nobody is allowed to rest on their past laurels at any job when there is a trend of their performance becoming worse every year.

In typical Les Miles fashion, LSU will go into Oxford and beat the shite out of the Rebels.

Geaux Les and Geaux Tigers!

You're right. I thought there were some down seasons in between, but those were at the end of Bowden's reign and a couple of years for Jimbo to bring it back.
One more in the success column.

Miles is not going anywhere.
Alleva is positioning himself in this scenario by ousting Chavis and now it looks like Cameron will not be back either.

That is pissing Miles off more than anything.

But I side with Alleva when you are paying those assistants the money they have than you should expect more and if Miles is not letting them do the things they were hired to do that's on him.

I think Miles is back with conditions and I think at some point Miles might entertain other offers.

Including the SECCG or the playoffs

The delusional are the ones who think differently.

Take a step back and remember the chain of events that it too to get UN there the other time. WE LOST OUR LAST GAME TO ARKANSAS and somehow the ducked up system LET us in before anyone knew better.

This ship has sailed. LSU can accept it or pretend to be positive and settle for 8 wins per.

losing the money from the McNeese cancelation will cause a downturn of sorts but the LSU football program is as financially healthy as it gets. top 10 healthy year in and year out. it will take a lot for that to turn south; two losses won't do it. the losses piss people off and they say things but that's about it.
