ideally I would like them around 240 with the same speed they have now

Well sure everyone would but they don't make many 240lbs LBs with 4.5 speed. Chavis said he will never sacrifice speed for size.

I think he is barely even 200lbs which scares me. We need some 265lb LBers like Donta Hightower.
While i agree 200 is small, you will not see a 265# Lb under chavis at LSU. We are not Bama, nor do we want to be.

Ya I hope Moffit can get Kwon and Debo up to about 240lbs....we would be SICK for the next few years at LB.

Why do they have to be 240 to be productive?

Ugh size doesnt matter. Kelvin got up to 230 his sr year. The knock on him was he was too small to play inside. Wrong!!!! Oh and Tyrann was basically the 3rd linebacker when we go into nickle. But teah hes too small.

Kid is 6'2 210 and runs a 4.43 40.Chavis has to be absolutely giddy over this kids ability to move around.

if we're solid at LB, I would like to see him in nickle, dime and or safety packages. very light, at this time, for SEC LB. kid had some unreal video....just a monster to the ball. a very large and lethal version of TM7.

geaux DJ....seek and destroy.

The difference will be actual lber's coming in that chavis wanted vs converting safety's to get the kind of lber he wants.

how do you stop a guy like Kenny Hillard with 210lb LBers?

Get under his pads. It's simple. Hilliard gets tackled by 190 lb DBs all the time. Very few tackles are made toe-to-toe. Most involve different levels or side angles.

Bama has potentially 3 first rounders on their offensive line and I am scared they are gonna be able to shove it down our throat unless we get size

We have as much size at LB as we had last year, and we dominated everyone's running game. No one is going to shove it down LSU's throat. Any running success our opponents have will be due to blocking schemes that catch as leaning.
