Panthers coach Ron Rivera said second-round CB Donte Jackson has given him a "comfort level" at cornerback he hasn't felt in 2-3 years.

Jackson has been a standout at Panthers training camp and even intercepted one of Cam Newton's passes during Sunday's practice. Teammate Devin Funchess said he's "never seen somebody that quick." The LSU alum has emerged as the early favorite to start opposite James Bradberry in Carolina's secondary.

Damning him with faint praise.

As a Saints fan, I'm fully behind you Ron

Safety help is overrated and Drew's getting old.

Donte will be just fine on an island

I take it that they haven't seen Jackson try and tackle?

He is going to need a year in the league to toughen up and find some ball skillz.

Other than that his ceiling is pro bowl.

This is how I know most of you don’t really watch the games. Donte had his issues with losing the ball in the air at times, his hands were suspect, but he was one of the surest tacklers we had last year.

Yup. Our best tackling corner by far.

Wonder if Cam donned a hoodie and acted like a little bytch after Donte intercepted him.

I didn’t like seeing his childish tip. Hopefully he learned. Good luck on the field.

Yes, because one play defines a player's ability.

You obviously didn't watch all the games then because he cost us a few games not just plays.
