Meh. Pretty sure he makes more money here than 90%+ of all defensive coordinators in the NFL if not all of them and he's basically HCIW and has never seemed to express any desire to coach in the NFL.

Name the last college defensive coordinator that went straight to the NFL as a defensive coordinator. It hasn't happened in a long time. There is no current NFL DC that came straight from college.

I can think of one, Will Muschamp. Muschamp is somewhat of an exception, though IMO, because Saban brought Muschamp with him to Miami from college. It wasn't like Muschamp was hired by a sitting NFL HC. Nick Saban was hired out of college to be Cleveland's DC but had previous NFL experience as DB coach for the Oilers. That's about all I got. But you're absolutely right, it doesn't happen very often.

I would agree on this, however their isn't a BETTER JOB as a D Coordinator "right now" because of Patrick Mahomes
and if i'm Aranda, i'd inquire aboout the job?

Nick isn't playing 2nd fiddle to ANYONE
and
Dave Aranda is the #1 D Coordinator in College Ball

Here's something to think about
He's NEVER been in a job "More than" 3yrs (FACT)

nope.
Muschamp went to Miami as Saban's DB coach, not DC. Saban's DC in Miami was Richard Smith.

alright, then I guess I can't think of any

I would be curious to know the last time an NFL DC was hired straight out of college with no prior NFL experience.

Was Dave Arranda making 2.5 million dollars on a National Title contending team? Thanks for no context.

I’m just stating this is complete speculation and an opinion. I can say that John Madden should come out of retirement and would be a great fit in Kansas City. No talk has ever come of Dave to Kansas City or anything. You’re pointing out it would be a good fit, which about 200 other guys out there would probably fit well too.

So you want us to see how pure speculation plays out? Why bring this up if your speculation is “even a topic?” Just trying to stir the ole feces?

Is that a contest I'm unaware of?

Okay, call me when Arranda excepts the KC D-Cordinator job. LOLOLOLOL.

They are already talking Rex Ryan.

I literally said this guy is basing this post off of complete speculation and it doesn’t make sense lmao. Not sure why that’s a hard concept.
