Dare to say the remaining field is much weaker than 2023?

Just objectively looking at this years field there doesn’t seem to be as many stacked teams.

Now obviously we had a better team in 2023 to compete. But 2023 Florida and Wake Forest were almost just as talented as us that year. This year we’re not as strong as 2023 obviously , but the rest of the field seems comparatively weaker than 2023.

Who will be the most dangerous teams going forward this tournament? Seems to be shaping up nicely for a decent run at the title.

Well they won't make it to Omaha, you see, cause if they win their regional they have to go to The Box.

Geaux Tigers!

True. I think winner of this Clemson / Kentucky game will force a second game out of em tho.

LSU and Arkansas are the two best teams by a longshot on paper imo

It’s not even close. There’s no one in this year’s field remotely close to 23 LSU, WF and UF. All 3 were consistently dominant in the postseason and stacked with vets who were sure-fire pros.

There are a few teams capable of raising their level to something close and I think we are right there with UNC, Arkansas and a couple of others in that conversation. However, no team has been consistently dominant all season. It’s going to come down to matchups and who makes the pitches and plays when they matter.

That gives the SEC teams an advantage in my opinion after the absolute grind that this season was. Being tested like that week in week out is the best preparation for Omaha.

Been that way all year. There is no dominant team or teams this year so the tournament is wide open. It's why 8 of the #1 seeds have either been eliminated or are in the losers bracket today.

This! The book on LSU was that we only had one reliable starter. Floyd and Hurd were very inconsistent, though talented. LSU had to stay in the winner’s bracket because they did not come close to having the pitching to climb out and win it. But they did!

I think if you played this tournament 10 times you might get 10 different winners. There is really no breakout teams that look unstoppable this year. I think any of the top 3 teams from 2023 would be head and shoulders over anyone this year and would be a 2022 Tennessee type favorite.

Tennessee is the 3rd that you really can’t just out talent.
