Yep. In the 2nd quarter he was already saying how Bama's offense had done enough to keep it in playoff contention.

I mean, I don't think he has some super secret affiliation or anything but if you can't hear the inflection in his voice when he's calling Bama games then you're just not listening. It stands out even more now that Verne is gone. Franklin is a professional when it comes to calling games with neutrality.
Pay attention next year. It's pretty easy to hear.
being impressed or singing the praises of one of the most dominate dynasties in CFB history isn't really something to get upset about

Some of y’all are more obsessed with Danielson than you are with Bama.

He’s absolutely good enough to be talked about as the best player in college football.
agree to disagree
Does he have the capability? Probably.
Has he shown it this year? Not at all.

Except that's not what's happening during a broadcast. Gary will do something like say "that's ashame" or "uggggggggh, that's too bad" in a dejected tone when Bama throws a pick, fumble, doesn't convert, etc.
In contrast, when Bama gets a pick, fumble or stop it's a totally different tone and he'll say something like, "man, look at that break on the ball or strip or whatever. That's one of the best in the country doing it at a high level. Look at how he blah, blah, blah."
I hadn't really paid attention to it but watching the Iron Bowl got really ridiculous.
