I'm a big fan of Danielson. I even have a CBS sports coat that he wore while calling an LSU game.

for me, its because he never stops talking
seemingly, he feels like he has to have something to say about everything.
he also latches on to some particular theme and will go on and on about it the entire game. like the georgia lb curran during this game.

Danielson is pretty good, but gets carried away at times (renny curran)....Oh, and I'm pretty sure he didn't hear Charles Scott whispering to the crowd to be quiet after the last TD.

I've always liked him...seems to know his business. I don't agree with everything he says but he isn't goofy like so many of the others

I just hate his sensationalism.
Especially when Florida is playing, they just keep talking about how fricking great Tebow is and all that.
Personally, I want my announcer to just tell me about the game and some random facts/stats, not hype up some guy or anything like that.
Whoever does the westwood one radio NFL games is by far the best announcer Ive ever listened to (I know its radio but he would be great on tv as well).
Especially when Florida is playing, they just keep talking about how fricking great Tebow is and all that.

I like Danielson a lot, but he'll butcher a name like there's no tomorrow. The whole "paper Tigers" thing in '07 when Tebow was mocking a phone call was overboard goofy.

How long did Cox hold the ball in his own end zone when Alem almost got the safety on him? Maybe 4-5 seconds? Then he was able to blindly fling the ball away and was just plain lucky he got it near a receiver.
Now how long did Jefferson hold onto the ball when a blitzer hit him from his blind side? Maybe 2 seconds, if that?
Danielson said nothing negative whatsoever about Cox's play. He never even mentioned the obvious, that it was sheer luck that allowed Cox to get rid of the ball and not be called for intentional grounding.
But he called Jordan Jefferson's sack the result of a mental mistake.
And he's been doing that for years.
That's why Gary Danielson is trash to me.

Your opinion. I'll disagree. I think they are the worst in the business (Paper Tigers in 07 did it for me).

Danielson and Blacklidge are my fav color guys. They notice things about a lot of plays that other guys dont mention.
Everyone hates on Danielson, but they seem to forget the suckfest he gave LSU during the 2006 and 2007 seasons with players like Bowe, Dorsey, Hester, etc
