I don’t feel good about this. BAMA will shutdown Daniel’s running ability and may even tackle him for a big loss. Then we will be faced with 2nd and 15 or 3rd and 10 and he will have to stand in the pocket and deliver bullets downfield for a first down to keep the drive alive.

When you answer my question I’ll answer more of yours.

No he wasn’t, it’s a stupid term.

He passes way more than throws
So does Lamar Jackson and so did Lamar Jackson in college. Outside the few teams that still run triple option offenses, this is the case for every QB in the country. For reference, Jackson had 202 carries (non-sack plays) and 430 passing attempts in 2017. That's a 32/68 run/pass split. Daniel's last year had 112 carries (non-sack plays) and 301 passing attempts. That's a 27/73 run/pass split, not too far off from Jackson. Burrow's splits were 80 carries and 527 passing attempts for a 13/87 run/pass split, and I think we'd all agree in college that Joe would have been considered a mobile QB.

Lmao I’ve said Nuss looked like the best of the 3 after the spring game and never predicted a starter. Said all 3 could’ve started up until Brennan left a day or two ago.

Ok thanks for confirming you have no idea what you’re talking about and are in fact trying to redefine the term.

You were on the Brennan bus all the way. And were dead wrong

He is a QB that can run. The fact that he will be faster than other teams opposing defenses sans maybe a corner doesn’t mean he can’t throw. It’s not a pie chart where running ability takes away from passing ability.
If he isn't a running QB this year LSU fricked.

He’s not a very good passing one either. Y’all better he not the starter. Gonna be long year if so I believe.

I see English isn’t your first language. Understandable but you’re still wrong. He is a good passer and has insane athleticism

So go find the post where I said he was the starter and there was no competition, I’ll wait…….

Daniels is a good QB in the right system. This is the correct system just not the correct players to run the system.

okay = pro style qb not okay = scrambling qb
Not okay - scrambling QB that struggles with accuracy.
Most desirable- pro style that can scramble (aka burrow)

He’s an elite runner or maybe a hair below elite but, no matter what his fanboys say, hasn’t shown he can make the throws he’ll need to move the chains vs the upper level SEC defenses. It doesn’t mean he can’t be successful. Tebow wasn’t a good passer either but their offense was designed with a run threat good enough to force teams into man coverages and if we can do that he can succeed.

Malik Willis' 2 seasons at Liberty?
2020: 141 rushes, 944 yds, 14 tds
2021: 195 rushes, 878 yds, 13 tds
Kyler Murray:
2018: 140 rushes, 1000 yds, 12 tds
Jayden Daniels at Oregon:
138 rushes, 710 yds, 6tds
Both of those guys can throw the football with accuracy from the pocket.
By both I don't mean Jayden Daniels

You just listed four dual-threat quarterbacks that run hybrid-style offenses.

Correct which is why they will do to him in the SEC what they did to him in the PAC 12.
Crowd the line to stop any running ability and make him make precise accurate passes. Which he has a hard time of doing.
Team will play zone and blitz which is what I seen alot of wheni watched his tape.
Make him make accurate mid range throws.
Teams thrive and are successful on the mid range stuff.

So you know more than Kelly?
Posted on 8/17/22 at 2:02 pm to boweswi05
Daniels ran Zak Hill’s offense, the same one he ran at Boise State, so this idea the OP is pushing that he was in a “Les Miles type system” is totally false.

I don’t have to link, I remember you being bullish on Myles and dead wrong.
