Very infectious guy with his positivity Pretty much goes to show you how important the QB position can be, especially when people believe they are being led by a guy who is extremely likeable and you trust he can get the job done when the deck is stacked.
Just like today.
Would pay good money for him to be a Saint.

Even helped Carter the DT from the eagles off the ground after almost sacked him

I took the family for a late lunch at roadhouse, I couldn't see what all what going on. Did he take the lead 28-27 I'm guessing?

quote:crazy part is that his OL, run game from his RBs, and defense regressed during the year and he lost his #2, #3, and #4 pass catchers. He has been playing the last 2 weeks with Terry and the 5th or worse pass catchers on his team. He's been willing his team to victory. Just like Burrow, the Commanders need to immediately put a good team around him, or they will regret it. By year 5 that kid will be able to play in any system and everybody will be willing to pay crazy money for him.He has over 4000 total yards and 28 total TDs in essentially 14 games (he got knocked out in the first quarter of a game earlier this year.
He's completely turned that franchise around. Amazing what a new owner can do by cleaning house and changing the culture

I met he and his mother at the start of his freshman year at ASU. He had a persona of confidence way back then.

Dude always has a smile on his face. It’s easy to see why people gravitate to him. Love the guy’s attitude.
A baller with great character, whats not to like

Yes, in spades. He's kind of like the Magic Johnson of the NFL.
Speaking of Magic, he was on Speak as a special guest with Joy Taylor, Keyshon Johnson, and Paul Pierce this week.
Magic, as you know, is a new co-owner of the Commanders. He was talking about JD and how infectious his leadership abilities are. He said JD just lights up the locker room and everyone gravitates toward him. Joy Taylor, whose nephew is Mason Taylor, said her nephew loved playing with JD and learned so much from him.
It was a nice little convo about JD.

If I was building a great football team, I would probably pick JD as a centerpiece. You could argue Tom Terrific or maybe Terry Bradshaw and few would argue.
Bradshaw?

You don't think Terry was great winner?

He was extremely average. The Steelers won because their roster was absolutely loaded.

The owner is new to the league, and it's unpredictable how his spe.di g habits will be. Cincinnati's owner on the other hand, has a history of being cheap. Time will tell in Washington. The good news is, they will probably get a new stadium.

He was good. But with out all that talent around him is what made him above average.
