Complain all day and night about Daniels issues as a passer but you got to give the man his due as a competitor. He is a gamer anyway you look at it. Taking the team 99 yards in 1st game of the season was something special. 4th down pass to Nabors late in the game last night gives me hope. He basically takes over games late w his running skills. You can't teach that kind of talent. However, you can teach him how to better align himself to complete a pass over 10 yards. He's already proven himself after 1/4 of the season to me. NO interceptions is significant. I'm frustrated like everyone else w some of his throws but he competes at the highest level when chips are down. He gets his act together w better coaching mechanics and this guy can take us to the promised land - this season IMHO. Let it happen..... Geaux Tigers!

Embarrassing passer and will be the cause of several losses over the next few weeks. I just hope all the Heisman voters were able to watch, as I was promised that Daniels would be in the conversation. If the best to ever play at LSU (Burrow) could improve that much, then anyone could. Those guys weren't posting much last night hahaha.

For LSU to be taken seriously he must improve his accuracy throwing the football. Some of those throws were just awful, but he makes up for it through his running and competitiveness.

He doesn’t do anything to lose football games, so that’s a plus. If he can improve even a little bit in the passing game the offense will take off.

I have no doubt the kid is out there trying his hardest to win, and I respect that

My big concern is when he has time he’s not seeing open wr’s He did hit Brian Thomas while he was scrambling in the 2nd half. That was an improvement

I don't know about them calling him a Heisman candidate but there are a lot of football simpletons on this site that think all you have to do to be good at quarterback is run fast and throw hard.

May be a gamer but not an SEC QB. Down vote away.

He is certainly always trying to get the ball to the person he thinks is best.

My god I can’t stand him smiling all the time though

We'll also win us a game or 2 with his legs. Not every college quarterback will be Joe Barrow or Cam Newton

Sounds like you have a grudge and this is an attempted “I told you so” post.

Daniels has him limitations, clearly, but right now he’s far and away this teams best option. Completing 70% of his passes, hasn’t turned the ball over, and has come up big in big situations vs FSU and MSU.

I agree with everyone’s concerns in this thread, and I am going to add one. He got the hell beat out him last night. Just wondering with his style of play if his body can hold up the whole season.

Not an SEC QB

You have made that decision after just one SEC football game in which he beat an SEC quarterback generally seen as one of the top ones in the conference by 15 points when they came in as a three point favorite? Not to mention the guy you have already classified as, not an SEC quarterback, accounted for almost 80% of our total offensive production.

It seems a little early in the SEC season to be making those types of claims, but each to our own.
