Dead wrong. He was very disruptive this year.

Another year he would of been a monster going into the nfl

None of us knows this.

I agree. Some of these guys would get a much larger paycheck with another year's investment of college preparation. Oh well, not my decision.

Not really. Not like it used to be at all before the new CBA. Now it's all about getting into the league and trying to get to that second contract as soon as possible. That's where the real money is.

I don't blame any of these guys about trying to make the leap if they are good enough to at least make a team.

Hate to be the grammar police, but damn.

It's "should've": a contraction for "should have."

"Should of" makes absolutely no sense, even though it sounds similar.

Anthony Johnson was not a bust. He was a wasted talent. Brick didn't develop him or Ego to their potential. Glad we have Coach Orgeron now.

78% are bankrupt 3 years after they leave nfl.

no common sense, before or after.

watch too many videos and believe that's the life.

it is their mommies and daddies and uncles and aunts and brothers and sisters and homeboys and cousins, and preachers, and girlfriends, and girlfriends, and babies, and babies.....etc
that have hit the lottery. they first need the kid to go pro early and then suck him DRY.

lsu tries to teach these kids about money, but they are the workhorses of the family and most have that much sense.

gawd bless 'em.

Based on your thread title, I agree that you should've stayed another year in school.

ETA:

I'm sorry, I undervalued the poor grammar in your actual post. Maybe two years?

I don't think another year would have vaulted him into first/second round status, so with the risk of injury while not getting paid you might as well leave.

I agree, and if he goes in the 3rd or lower, we can all say, "I told you so."

Right, so get to the NFL as fast as you can. He is now one year closer to that second contract.

Not necessarily, the fact is that if you are drafted in the 1st round, a team is much less likely to give up on you as quickly as if you had been drafted in the lower rounds.

If he came back next year and improved technique with Coach O, he had the measurables to be a top 10 or #1 overall pick. Instead, he declared and will be a second round guy.

Don't get me wrong, if second round he still gets a good chunk of money, but only as early to mid second round. Once he hits 3rd round, he officially made a huge mistake.

That's just not true at all.

He was an elite defender against the run.

Whether or not he should have stayed is entirely based on where he is drafted. If he's drafted in the top 2 rounds, it's a no brainer good decision for himself.

If he's drafted in the 5th round on down, then I'd agree he made a poor decision given his upside.
