Only at LSU, and only on the Rant, would the hiring of a wide receiver coach be such a big deal and blown so out of proportion.
Well he finished ranked higher as a recruiter than everyone at LSU this past cycle. Has had multiple finishes in the top 10 and has been said was the sole reason Winston went to FSU.
One thing LSU has been missing is the recruiting of qbs.

So Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings were "bad" recruits?

Why not?? He's been under Jimbo, and Gus both have had really good offenses.

For him to take a 200k pay cut there has to be another incentive.

Why do some people think because we made a homerun hire it must mean that this is not the whole story and that there's something bigger to it?
Aranda was not hired because he was promised "head coach in waiting"
Craig was not hired because he was promised the OC position.
Maybe both coaches were hired because they wanted to coach at a national power like LSU who was willing to pay them a little more and provided them an opportunity to coach the best talent in the land, under a great boss like Les Miles.
There isn't some higher power at work here. They wanted to coach the best players, under Les, who they admire and respect.
THAT'S ALL.
