I started to post this is much ado about nothing. But since this thread is now 16 pages, that’s not true.

So I say just go ahead and name it after both Dale and Sue. And let’s move on to something else.

Yep, I think the idea of naming it for Dale during men's games and Sue for women's is a great compromise....may not placate Dale, Dick and Timmy B. but compromise is where both sides give - and this is that.

After a few years of Mulkey you will forget all about Gunter or any previous women’s coach.

That's kind of the point. Kentucky is really the only team in the league with a coach worthy of having anything named after him. Eh maybe Richardson at Arky and Donovan at UF. Donovan for sure

Cal should NEVER get anything named after him. He pretty much cheated so bad that it killed 2 programs although he would swear he knew nothing. Funny how that happened

To a lot of people, the 2 coaches themselves were part of the issue. But another part, larger to some, was the woke politics behind the name change. Those politics won't go away but will just lay dormant till next time .A lot of big names involved in LSU sports over the years kept their mouths shut. Either way. Such is today's world we live in.
