i didnt look it up until now how man co-championships that alabama claims. i fricking hate alabama so much. more than any other team in the country.

The AP title is older and has been more prestigious than the Coaches trophy over the years. They didn't do anythign to change their award.
If you read the board throughout the season you'll see more bitching and moaning about how fricked up the BCS is and how stupid polling coaches is when they don't have any time to look at other teams besides the ones on their schedule - and then miraculuosly at the end of the season the BCS ios supposed to be the be all and end all?
It's dumb.
There are two respected polling organizations that award championship trophies, the AP and the AFCA. I have always recognized both awards in the past, and nothing's changed to make me not recognize one over the other.
2003 was a split title, it's happend before, it'll happen again - DWI.
