Currently in Vegas. Strip Casinos don't have game lines up yet, but Golden Nugget did.

LSU -2 vs Oregon
LSU -3 vs W Virginia
LSU -7.5 vs Florida

Odds to win BCS are 9/2

These are the only ones I saw as I made my way through the Nugget.

that is much better than the lines posted a few weeks ago....didn't realize vegas expects the WVU game to be so close. and if moo state is still favored to beat us i'll fall out my chair...again

we were +7 vs bama last time I looked I would hope that comes down a bit

I wonder how much more that LSU vs Oregon line moves. I would anticipate -4 LSU by game time.

It looks like to me...That Oregon is actually the favorite according to Golden Nugget. It reports Oregon -3 down to a -2. Golden Nugget (Dated 6-17-11)

LSU OREGON OREGON -3 bet down to -2 (Neutral Game - Dallas)

LSU MISSISSIPPI STATE LSU bet +1 to -3

LSU WEST VIRGINIA LSU -4 bet up to -4.5

FLORIDA LSU LSU -5.5 bet up to -7.5

LSU TENNESSEE LSU -9.5 bet down to -8.5

AUBURN LSU LSU -9.5 bet up to -11

LSU ALABAMA ALABAMA -9

ARKANSAS LSU LSU -4.5

Fwiw
Danny Sheridan said the line is made based on what Vegas thinks the fan's perception of the game is. After that the line will move to get even money on both sides of the bet.

Online betting sites typically have different odds before the season than Vegas. Once it gets closer to the season they will close the gap a little.

I go to Vegas the last week of August every year to place a ton of bets. I went 19-4 last year on opening weekend games. Its probably the most exciting thing to do on gameday next to actually going to the game. There is nothing like sitting there watching several huge games on the big screens with money on the line.

Opening line on LSU for BCS was 15:1, but you're not going to get anywhere near that now. Had already moved to 8:1 when I got my money in at Aria on April 2nd

I've never used any websites. I laid my futures bet at Aria on The Strip. Maybe someone else is in the know on websites.

Same here. I don't understand why anyone looking to bet on LSU would want LSU + anything moving down. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Nope. The line opened at about 15-1, but it is currently 9/2 on the strip (at least at Bellagio and Caesars).

As of 07/20/11 LSU was -2 (meaning LSU was the favorite).

People who bet a lot of money consistently know how to shop around. I can show you multiple outlets that have 15-1 or better. I have LSU at 18-1 and can still get those odds today. If you bet LSU at 9/2 then you're a novice and I wish you luck, but you will lose money in the long run.
