I'm not reading all the bullshite people say, but you're right.

If LSU finishes the regular season at 13-5 in the sec and would WIN the sec. That means we beat UF and @UK. Our top 50 would be 5-5 and way better than almost all bubble teams

I think it moved

yea don't worry about reading it. i got what i thought i was gonna get with the 7 down votes. it's amazing how clueless some of these people really are. i've always thought this was pretty common knowledge, but apparently it's rocket science for some.

People are incapable of being rational. For everyone around here it is black and white. No one looks at college basketball landscape. There is a reason LSU is still on the bubble...everyone sucks this year. We have 2 top 50 teams left, and UK is like top 15. Hypothetically, let's say we lose tonight, best Mizzou, UF, @uk. Then we beat UT and UGA in the sec tourney..I could easily see us in

Basically, there are tons of hypothetical situations that could still theoretically play out

If LSU goes 3-1 to end the season (loss to Kentucky), and then wins 2 games in the SEC tournament against top-50 RPI teams, their RPI would still only be right around 65.

Gonna need to beat better teams than Tennessee and Georgia in the SEC Tournament, although I see your overall point about the high number of scenarios.

It's the same as it has been all season around here. We win and we're getting in for sure. We lose and we don't deserve to make it, and definitely won't.

Admittedly I'm not feeling great about it at this point, but slim as they may be, our at-large chances are still alive. Need a very strong finish to keep it that way, though.

We don't have the quality bench depth especially without Hornsby to stay fresh enough to win the SEC tourney

Trust me I hope we win out and make the tourney. However, I don't see this happening. I think we go 2-2 in our next 4. (Loss @ Kentucky and Arky) I just don't think this team has the heart or will to win games. They knew going into the TENN game that their tourney hopes are on the line. They show up playing like its church league pick up.

Some of you pumpers were agreeing that this team "had quit" on CJJ.

What makes you think, at this point, they will start playing for CJJ now? Honest question.

I mean, I could see this team losing out starting tonight.

How do we right the ship when its been a dumpster fire the last week?

BS has given NO indication that he will (we all he can) take over the game as someone suggested earlier.

We need Hornsby back for the SEC Tournament, but that doesn't seem likely.

Wow, that really sucks....

And I HIGHLY doubt we pull off any scenarios in which we get into the tourney, but I'm pointing out it COULD happen. I think the RPI around 65 would get us in. There are sooooo many bad teams on the bubble. We are on the bubble and our RPI is 82...imagine it being 20 points higher.

If we go 6-2 in our next 8 games, that's in. Doubtful, but there is a possibility.

With that said, it would be a miracle to pull it off tonight

To be fair I'm sure most of those downvotes on your OP are coming from the "no shite, Sherlock" crowd. Like you said, your OP is VERY much common knowledge and anyone following the team understands what you posted.

I agree, but it's going to be very hard to get it there.

We would need there to be no upsets in the first few rounds of the SEC Tournament. We'd need teams like Alabama and Florida (top 50 RPI) to win their first game and come through to the quarterfinals and face us.

Then we'd need either South Carolina or Texas A&M waiting for us in the semifinals. Or Kentucky, but I'd rather not them.
