Current RPI Situation (Numbers)

Current RPI standings.
From what i've observed over the years, beating a good team will net you around 25-35 RPI points. Beating a Top 10 team can get you 40+ points. At least on WarrenNolan.
That being said, with another win or 2, we will somehow be in a prime position for the top 16 in RPI. Incredible turnaround.

Not much of a chance…. but maybe.
Would need to play Kentucky and Tennessee for biggest RPI boost. Whereas we want Vandy in the finals (out of pitching) if we just want to win the tournament.

A lot of space between us and Vandy still. Should end up close to Bama and SC. If we win one more, top 18

It’s possible our RPI reaches top 16 if we knock off #1 tomorrow.
You better hope RPI #1 UK wins this game today against USC if you want to see LSU make it into the top 16 RPI-wise. We’d need the points that come with knocking off #1 if we were to make that kind of jump in 2 days

Not a chance. USC is super hot at the plate. KY doesn’t have the pitching to cool that off.

They’d give the biggest boost but also not much of a drop in a loss. LSU getting a 2 seed at a 12-16 seed host would be a nice consolation.
