Do you think they are throwing that out there to keep recruits

I would be negatively recruiting the shite out of LSU if I were an opposing coach.

Why would anyone who aspires to be in the NFL go to play under that assclown of an offensive coordinator?

And how can LSU recruit offense players now?...... "Hey look how shitty our offense has been the past 3 years, do you see how bad we need you?"

I don't necessarily think Miles and Crowton are on the same page considering the apparent friction between them this year and Miles intervening in the playcalling. Could Gary be saying that he is not going to let Les usher him out to some other job, and if Les wants him gone he will have to do it the ugly way?

We're going to end up like UGA. Two years ago they started ranked No. 1 and completely imploded. That forced Richt (like Miles, considered a "nice" guy) to fire his defensive coordinator under intense pressure. Until we have a disastrous season like that, nothing will change. It will be a slow rot until the bottom falls out. Then Miles will get a season to really right the ship, i.e. forced to knock some heads or he'll be gone.

Or Mettenberger can come in and basically save everything. Or Miles jumps ship and everyone is gone. Either way I don't like where we are, and I'm generally a Miles defender. Doesn't seem to be anyone in charge.

Maybe Crowton's offensive schemes/plans are sort of like Lou Tepper's drop linebacker scheme when he said it will take 5 yrs to learn.

2011 will be Crowton's 5th year so whatever this mystery system is should lead LSU to 55 pts a game.

He came from Oregon and created school records for LSU in 2007 in offense. What happened?

"I'm not looking right now," Crowton said. "My interest is here. I have another year on my contract here, and it's a good contract with the best year of the contract next year. This is where I want to be."

There has been speculation that offensive coordinator Gary Crowton may not return

Crowton is in the final year of a three-year contract that pays him a base salary of $400,000.

I would be embarrassed if I made 400k as an OC with his results. Instead he is looking forward to his contract's best year.

Maybe he'll be hired back to boost the 119th ranked offensive Concession stands in the country.
