The screens kept showing a sound meter throughout the game. It was above 105 db several times.

The highest decibel reading I saw on the scoreboard was 107.9, maybe it got higher than that?

It hit 108
Also when the eruption happened after it showed 108 It had to have peaked around 120, it was fricking LOUD!

It was loud and a great atmosphere but nowhere near as loud as I was expecting. Nothing like bama games, 2007 Florida, 2014 Ole Miss, etc.

I have been going to home games for 50 years, I have never seen that many visitors in our stadium.they were everywhere.leaving the game I told my son seems like we are in Georgia a sea of red.

Georgia fan behind me dan was saying, “ Man they keep yelling, you would swear this is their Super Bowl.” To put it into perspective these cats went to every single game last year and never saw anything like it, including between the hedges.

From the Washington Post article on the game:

quote:

BATON ROUGE — In the landscape of a nightmare, a golden sign hovers near the field that reads WELCOME TO DEATH VALLEY. The bruising, haunting afternoon wanes, and a big, loud subset of 102,321 onlookers serenades the losing visitor with a heartwarming chant about how that visitor ought to perform a carnal act upon the cherished tiger mascot.

Nah. Ole Miss had beat us the year before and came to Tiger Stadium undefeated and #3 in the country. It was LOUD. The whole game.

It was loud. There have been louder crowds(probably because of the amount of red) but as far as pure hostililty for the opponent and willing our team to victory the atmosphere was second to none.
