It's amazing to me how many supporters J.L. still has. If you compare it to any other school, media, etc. with the exception of on-line stuff, it's unprecedented.

Personally,
I am not a supporter, but I am a realist.

*How would you perform at 19 yrs old if your
O and D line did not do their job.
*if you had not had time to train properly and had been thrown into the position.
*if receivers dropped passes and/or did not run their routes well.
*if you had to listen to thousand of negative people who really do not know any better bitch weekly and yet you had to come back and do it again next week.

I just believe in judging people fairly, but since many here have never had a management position where they really had to judge the performance of others, I understand the narrow path.

NEVER look only at the results, find out WHY you are seeing those results...
then you'll have the real answer.

I think JL will grow into being a fine QB...to the dismay and disappointment of many.

Constructive criticism is ok, but a lot of people take it WAY to far. They bring it to the level of stupidity. The bad thing is it gives an appearance of ignorance and lack of understanding by the fans. Even though it is a small amount of fools.

I think all Tiger Fans just want the best for the team, however we don't all express our frustrations the same.

However, that being said. Nobody stops anyone from being critical, just be prepared to get slammed back if it is taken too far.

It cuts both ways: some people who are the least bit supportive of Miles get ripped apart too. So you've got two camps here, each ripping the other apart. Welcome to Internet message boards.

Where have you been? Miles has been mocked, ridiculed, & criticized ALL season; and you're just showing up NOW???? So,drop the "all of a sudden" bullshite.
The criticism of Miles is never-ending here & if you dare defend Miles you're the one who gets ripped, not the morons who post "Miles sucks" everyday, allday. You may want to do a little research before you open your ignorant mouth.

I don't know about "ALL season". The first losses of the season to UF and UGA were pinned on our two-headed monster co-DC's. However, as time as gone on this season, more and more bashing of Miles himself has appeared. Now, there is a certain percentage of the purple and gold nation that wants Miles gone completely.

As for me, I think our program is going to be just fine. We will make the "adjustments" that Miles spoke of after the bowl game. We will probably end up with the #1 recruiting class in the nation, and we will have a better football program for what we have gone through this year. That's only my opinion.

After the Appy St game people here were questioning Miles not letting "the younger guys play"....so yes, it's been ALL season.

True, but there will always be criticism of any coach. It's just the way that it is. I don't like it, but it's just the way it is. However, the serious criticism and wanting him gone really didn't surface until we came back and beat Troy and got whacked by Ole Piss.

My brother lives up in the Ham (please worry for him), and he told me last week that there were some Gumps questionning the Gumpabama gameplan vs. UF and how the game went down.

You just proved my point. You defend J.L. no matter what. That's fine. I don't rag him or defend him. It's all already been done. Time to move on.

Can you really NOT ever be allowed to express criticism?! It seems like the Rant is becoming more like Red China!

Criticism is fine. Its when people start talking about how the team is never going to be good again, and how something or somebody is "innately" bad, and not worth anything.
There are times that I thought Miles did some really dumb things, and I can say that he effed up. But why would I go on a rant about how he is going to make LSU the worst team in history??? People who express never ending gloom and doom show that they are only filled with perpetual negativity that can never be asuaged.

Saban is a good coach = Bama Fan
Les makes some dumbass calls = Negatiger
Thinking either QB should start = racist to someone

Also, things to remember:

1. Hester has more heart than anyone ever to live.
2. Les is a better coach than Nick Saban.
3. Saban winning with Shula and Dinardo recruits is somehow an insult?
4. You must say DAMN STRONG or HAVE A GREAT DAY at least five times a day.

And Miles was being ripped by many for that before the season even began. They are many of the same people who predicted failure for Miles, Mainairi, Laval, Brady, etc. They always predict gloom and -- since things do not always go perfectly -- they are occassionally correct. Just like a broken clock.
