Who here didn't piss away some talent they had? They don't owe you a fricking thing either. Respect the game...WTF? It's football, it's no one else's fault you are a dumb arse super fan that has nothing else to live for. They're kids, and they did things kids do. You're an adult, do things adults do (now's a good time to start anyway).

i do care what the players do to a certain extent....i just don't think a barfight and smoking a little weed is that big of a deal. they broke the rules, they paid/will pay for it, move the frick on.
ofcourse...i don't ride around here on a high horse acting like i never did some stupid shite when i was younger either. maybe thats why im not so quick to pass judgement.
2 problems I have with what you just said.
a bar fight and smoking some weed isnt "that big of a deal" as long as nobody gets caught..
Geeeeeeeeeeeesss... It puts a negative light on the football progaram and its a fricking distraction.
I, nor you were on a full ride scholarship and starters on the #1 team in the land "when were were young"... PLEASE, tell me you really arent this fricking stupid.
I fully understand it makes you hard to try to argue with pretty much anything I post,,, but you right now in this thread you sound like a fool.

yea...theres been so much negative talk and distractions the last 7 weeks. If it weren't for all the distractions we'd be #1 in the country.....oh wait.

Too many high and mighty, super moral, "I'm a fan, they owe me" arrogant old fricks in our fanbase. THESE ARE KIDS. THEY ARE HUMAN. THEY WILL MAKE BAD DECISIONS OCCASIONALLY. IF THEY THROW AWAY A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY THEN THAT IS THEIR BURDEN TO BEAR.

when they get to be 30 or 40 and realized they may have pissed away millions of dollars, it will hit them, but not before. It's amazing how age puts everything in perspective for you.

I wish I could make 3 things happen.
Anyperson I end up arging with on this board should have to post the following.
1)age
2)race
3)sex
It would explain a lot.
Im all for anybody on here to have their own opinion.. Id just like to better understand why people think and say what they do sometimes.

How many of us are talented but are far too lazy to ever do anything with it? Hard to say it's such a natural gift when you see them practicing hours a day for years. Not just talking about sports related.

Now the Gods are punishing us for giving him such a stupid nickname.

we're deep in both positions...LSU still rolls auburn. how 'bout we just keep everything in perspective instead of claiming the team is falling apart, control is lost, and we're the U of the 80's.
This...

TIGRLEE, I agree with you on your points. Your sig line should have, "stupid and selfish" added to it. Choctaw uses rationalizations to justify actions of the "yutes". The common goal of the university, the coaches, the team, and the fans should be to be winners. Winning by doing your best both on and off the field. It should be considered an honor, a privilege, and duty to represent all concerned, including their parents and friends with their best. I don't think THIS is their BEST, and I support the punishments by Miles and the disappointments of all who care about LSU.

This should go for every single LSU graduate:
quote:
The common goal of the university, the teachers, the community, and the students should be to be winners. Winning by doing your best both in your profession and in your community. It should be considered an honor, a privilege, and duty to represent all concerned, including their parents and friends with their best.
How has each one of us done? Judge everyone if you're going to judge one.

Not my quote. First mistake........but I would like to respond nevertheless.
quote:
it affects them their team and their family... thats it.
Second mistake.
quote:
The FANS hold them to a godly regard..
Those that hold them up as "godly" have their perspectve terribly wrong, and contribute to a feeling of being above the rules.
Those who love and support LSU have a right to expect their representatives to uphold the standards set for them.
quote:
these are kids who are learning to grow up.
You are correct. Part of growing up is following the guidelines set by those entrusted with the "process" of helping a young person develop. Mistakes are made in the process and can be forgiven, which is different than ignoring the mistakes or to make excuses for them.
quote:
something you failed at by putting so much of your life on kids....
I willfully put time, emotion, and money towards my love for LSU. I expect the individuals, from administrators, to coaches, and to players, to conduct themselves within the proper guidelines.

This is not about MY judgement of these young men. It's about the attitude of some fans. Everyone will be judged as individuals. Coach Miles has to job to handle this. The facts are not confirmed. My comments are not as much about them as towards some posters.

TigerWoody, I included my personal info because TIGRLEE asked for it. I knew it would flush out some naive young smart arse like yourself to try to put me down. Maybe one day you will mature enough to understand. Until then, I'm done with you.

How many of us would give anything to be blessed with the talent or opportunities of these three young men? To be so short-sighted, arrogant or simply impulsive as to not realize or care about the consequences of their actions, indicates that they don't respect the game, their teammates, the fans, or the institution they represent.
They're kids who were caught smoking pot. Get over it.

Why the personal attack Mr. 11,039 posts to sports forum? Mine was simply an observation from a frustrated fan. You know, like you. Why don't you direct your anger where it really belongs and in a more productive fashion. Peace brother
