NO !

The only advantage NOW for the option is that teams are not used to it.....

when a team gets behind, they have problems...

IF they ran it every play the entire game they might MIGHT get it right one time with JJ. MIGHT. Now that you said that Miles will try it, thanks.

I don't think Iowa had too much trouble defending the triple option. SEC defenses would stop that offense with no trouble.

why would LSU run a triple option when we can even execute a regular option? If we did run it, we would run it to many times in one game to the short side of the field and produce negative yardage. See past years play calling.

Even if you did win enought games to play in a BCS bowl, you would lose the game...
If the last to bowl games for GT hasn't showed you anything, it should at least show that give a decent DC 3-4 wks to prepare and the option gets shut down.... and then your stuck with a poor throwing QB to try to win the game for you.

Why did you post this to me? I agree with you. I said LSU is not an option team.

People would complain that we are under-utilizing are star WRs.

I didn't know we had an option, the way jj pitched as soon as the ball was snaped. Another looser play called by who else-Crowton

no, have you seen them against lsu and iowa the past 2 years in bowl games? you would never win a bowl game giving teams that much time to come up with a gameplan to stop it

LsU could but the fans would not like it for very long. First time a defense stops and you are not able to pass well, guess what you lose. Look at what happened to GT last year against LSU and look at what happened last night against Iowa

Miami and FSU showed how to stop it. Fast as hell LB's and Safeties and smother it.

Where option works best is how Bear ran it: throw out of it. Osborne figured that out in the 90's.

Way too much speed in the SEC. That is why teams that ran it dropped it in the first place.

The comment on needing a disciplined team is also quite true.
