Man it almost feels like you need to get a guard, tackle, and center that can play right away from the portal.

If you can find 3 starters you do it.

If Jones comes back at tackle then you could have Weston Davis at tackle and Adams can play guard or tackle

Mubenga at guard with Chester and Echols at center

Khayree Lee plays guard and then whatever you add to the roster

Also have ory Williams and Calloway as backup tackles
______________

Sure feels like we are too inexperienced to not bring in a couple of portal guys. We have seen so little PT from most of these guys. Lots of unknowns.

Don’t talk facts to Ranters. They don’t know nuances between swing blocks and assignments. They just think the exact person in front of them is their assignment on every play.

The back was headed to the flat and had no responsibility to block inside on that play

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen on every play. And mistakes do happen. I understand that. But there is also times he gets blame that wasn’t his assignment either.

Chester would be a better fit at guard?

Will a swtich from C to G mean he won't look like he's on skates?

I don't think a position change - and removing the process of snapping the ball - will affect how he is too often dominated by the person across from him.

There’s no way in the world he’s supposed to turn a LB loose up the middle when the nearest defender is getting worked so hard by Will Campbell that he’s watching in admiration. No possible way.

our center and LG were apparently looking at our LT to see who he was blocking, because somehow they both missed the obvious blitzer and if I recall, Nuss was stripped from behind from that blitzer.
This is just an example of what Nuss had to deal with all year long. Posters saying Nuss wouldn't step up in the pocket...lol....as if there was one.
Both of those players have to be playing 2nd team next year if LSU is to be any good at all.

OL from the portal is a crapshoot. Especially at tackle.
