If you want a pro style QB you have to assure them that they will not be asked to run the option.

What blue chip QB would want to get laid out running the option when they could go play in an offense that is closer to a pro style offense?

Who do you think is doing the recruiting? If Miles were to be fired, how many people on his staff do you think would be retained by the next coach?

It's easy, show them the play calling in 07. This is how we will call the games with a good QB like you leading our team. We know you're up to the challenge of learing this playbook. We know you can see an average size qb like Flynn doing well in the NFL, just think what opportunities will open up for you.

exactly, hell even the play callign in 08 was good until GC and LM got shellshocked. With a QB he trust GC calls an offense that gains a bunch of yards and scores points. Problem is they have not recruited properly or developed, that is where the main issue lies.

I dont remember JJ being more than a 3 coming out of hs. I remember everyone saying he was ok, i think he had gotten hurt also. So we didnt know much about him. But he was not highly touted. I think most expected him to be a backup, and be serviceable at best if he was pressed into duty for a few games. Then all of the sudden, the guy that was only supposed to be the backup became the starter.

This is alternative history making. He was hurt his junior season but he was a solid 4 star in the Rivals 250 for 2008. Really, how hard is it to bother looking up his rivals profile....

Unless there is a significant improve in the offense for the remainder of this season, Crowton is definitely gone.

In that case, we need to focus on hiring someone who has a reputation for developing quarterbacks. This will help recruit quality HS quarterbacks.

I was not a fan of Jimbo's playcalling, but I admit that he could recruit and develop quarterbacks. We need an OC who can do both, or hire an OC for playcalling and a QB coach for development and recruiting.

RP and Shep were both 5* QBs. Miles is an awesome recruiter. Give credit wherre credit is due. Peterson was a huge surprise that nobody saw coming.

It's the developent that is hurting LSU QBs. Time to get a QB coach in here that can work with raw talent.

Not saying he will be fired, but I would bet that an incoming coach would keep Chavis, Wilson, Cooper, Moffitt, and maybe Haley and Robinson.

Ummm, you might want to talk to the folks at Oregon, BYU, LA Tech, and the Bears. You might have an argument on your hands.

For $5.4M/year, two 4* QBs, three 5* WRs, a plethora of 3* and 4* RBs, and some highly recruited OLinemen, we sure seem to have a lot of trouble consistently moving the football through the air.

I think the hardest thing would be 4-5 star wideouts to come to our school

make him think he would compete for the starting position while being a 5 star recruit"#1 dual threat qb for our run/passing option offense Miles likes now" that would make him not go to texas to play behind Colt because Mack Brown told him he wouldn't start and then have him play a few times in non important games while racking up highest ypc for the team just enough to burn his redshirt... I'm sorry did I not mention how I really feel????
