Contract Extension!!

Does anyone notice that Les Miles seemed to sign his BALLS away when he signed his contract extension?!?! By the way, where the hell was that highly recruited guy our of Texas that we got last year....oh yea Russell Shepard! Hmmmmmmm guy seems to be one hell of an athlete...i'm sure he could not have helped in the Cap One bowl....right?? (obvious sarcasm)
Look....My biggest concern is what I think everyone's biggest concern is on this rant...Why is it that we all can see what the main concerns are, but our coaching staff seems to ignore them or not make any adjustments!! Seems like the deeper Miles and Crowton's pockets get the less they know about making adjustments....pisses me off!!

Ego's are big and powerful things. Crowton and Miles are polar opposites in offensive philosophy. They both try to run what they want on offense and is one of the reasons why you see LSU in every offensive package known to man. All I want for next year is a offensive line that can actually make a hole for a rb.

I wish i could've been there when he was signing his extension and slapped that pen out of his hand. lol
his salary doesn't justify his performance imo.

Miles would have never brought Crowton to LSU if that was true.
Bama Trolls need to stop spreading lies about Miles and his coaching staff--Ban Bama Trolls pretending to be helpfull LSU fools.

Well it'd be nice to know what offensive scheme LSU actually runs because it sure doesn't look like a lie.

What were there some super secret plays that weren't shown on TV that Russell Shepard was actually on the field in?

The ostrich head in the sand approach will not serve you well. It's not "Bama Trolls" littering this board with vitriolic statements. It's your fellow LSU fans.

so basically you are saying our coaches are making too much money and therefore have quit coaching and don't give a damn any more. great theory man and just full of proof statements.
you are also blaming the coaching staff of being too stupid or apathetic to make any adjustments. your premise(s) do not hold up to me....
1) miles signed away his balls. wrong. he went for it on 3rd or 4th and one early in the season and learned it wouldn't work with this team. miles had no confidence in our OL getting any push. did you?
2)Russell Shepard-instead of accusing our staff of not wanting to win football games, maybe you should ponder WHY RUSSELL SHEPPARD wasn't what he was billed to be. only the coaches saw him at practice and you have to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding his ability to help the team at present. i was not that impresses with him, BUT hershel walker couldn't have run the ball behind our OL. just because a guy tore it up in high school doesn't automatically translate to college. i think he will be much more effective if and when we fix our blocking problems.
we are all frustrated as hell. i imagine miles is uber frustrated. my biggest concern is a lot more encompassing than how we used one specific player. w/o good run blocking, the running game doesn't work. w/o a good running game, the 4th qtr is hopeless. w/o a good running game, the passing game suffers. i am not defending the coaches, i am not blind or stupid or whatever i have been called but our problems are a lot more than miles not having any balls or not using any one player. i do not think their pay levels have a damn thing to do with it.

which still doesn't explain why Miles wasted a year of eligibility for this player.
and if I hear one ranter say that Shepard won't be around for his senior season anyway, I'm going to puke.
Plain and simple:
This coach will be fired next year, so go ahead and do it now.
This team was an utter disaster to watch, therefore making it not as much fun to watch.
We have more talent that doesn't perform the way it should, therefore making it not as much fun to watch.
If you Miles defenders really want to pin it on an inexperienced QB, new coaches etc. look at what our ex coach did with Bama in just three years. Miles should just be a victim of circumstance and be let go so ALL of the right decisions can be made.
Get a frickin clue, you all apear to be just as clueless as Miles, on a 2 minute drill.

You should always go for it on 3rd whether you have balls or labia.

Ever been to the racetrack, maybe Shepard in the Racing Form would not be considered to be a mudder?

Miles Contract Extension Clause:
In exercising the discretion granted in the employment agreement and amendments as to whether to grant a one-year term extension, the Chancellor will be guided by the following:
A. Winning eight or more games in a season presumptively will be the basis for a one-year extension.
B. A decision by the Chancellor not to grant a one-year term extension for any reason must be concurred in by the President of the LSU System.
"guided" = Maybe a "feel-good" subjective non-binding term
...any lawyers out there to comment on: "Chancellor will be guided by the following:"
