Congrats to Jake Latz on his all star selection

Had to refresh my memory by looking up his stats.
Committed to LSU in 2015 and redshirted due to injuries.
Pitched only 8.1 innings for LSU in 7 games in 2016.
Transferred to Kent State (coach went to same HS) but had to sit out due to NCAA transfer rules at that time.
Only pitched intrasquad scrimmages at Kent State.
Drafted by Rangers in 5th round in 2017.
Made MLB debut in August of 2021.

From what I remember, LSU staff thought he was healthy when he obviously wasn’t. Every time they put him in a game, he had a setback.
Sure there was lots of frustration on both side about the inability to diagnose/sove his injury. Glad he has finally gotten healthy and showing the great ability he has
