I think Auburn was the "10" of 2019 at Dline.

If so, on a 1-10 scale, how does Clemson rank as a Dline?

It's there only chance to slow us down.

Auburn’s DL was able to bring FB pressure with 4 and drop 7 every down. They’re the only D in America that can do that. Clemson can get an little trickier and disguise more blitzes, but they really have to involve LBs and when you send Simmons into the backfield you really create a world of opportunities for Jeff out the slot and Clyde catching passes...

If you don't have an EXTREMELY talented front and have to send extra guys...Burrow, Jefferson, Chase, Moss, Marshall, and Edwards-Helaire will eat you ALIVE!

Auburn’s line is better. Last year Clemson had a great d line but this year their strength is secondary

Auburn is a 10 then Clemson is a 5-6. Cannot get pressure without blitzing

Clemson has a better back 7 than auburn IMO. But you are correct. They wont sniff burrow bringing 5 or less

ETA:auburn did it with 3 and 4

I can't find a negative about Auby's Dline. They're just absolutely filthy. Their whole front 7, when healthy, is likely the best in CFB.

Clemson is built differently than that. They have some good players with real speed and short quickness on the lines, but they're absolutely going to have to mix up rush responsibility and share it with the backers as well.

If they try to bring a safety or corner up to blitz, JB9 will rape their nostrils every time. But I digress...

If Auby was a 10 (and they probably are) then I'd call Clemson's DL a 7, mainly because Venables knows how to coach them up and utilize them.

There front 7 won’t be stonewalling our running game in short yardage like Auburn nor getting QB pressure without taking a lot more risk. And it’s called risk for a reason, especially with that atraightup assassin we got pulling the trigger.

40, at least. Maybe mid 50s if we end up in a track meet.

The AU line this year was just as nasty as Clemson’s last year. Who were VITAL in that natty win. Too bad they are all gone

Auburn’s D-line WAS the benchmark. But LSU’s O-Line has steadily improved throughout the season, and is better now than ever. Playing Auburn now with LSU’s improved O-line would result in a blowout, as it nearly was then. (Don’t forget that Les Miles apparently showed up for the AU game to provide some cameo running calls at the goal line when LSU had 1st and goal two different times resulting in 0 points each time).

Therefore, to consistently get pressure on Burreaux, Clemson will have to blitz. There isn’t a better college QB who can burn the blitz more than Burreaux. That Burreaux dog WILL hunt.

Clemson's safeties can be had. If it wasn't for the OSU receiver breaking off his route, OSU would've won that game because he had the safety beat inside. That same safety got beat for a touchdown on that same exact play on a 4th down earlier in the game. Last year, one of bamas only touchdowns was Judy matched up against Tanner Muse #19. Clemson's safeties are smart and well coached but outside of #11 they can not matchup with the athleticism of the LSU wideouts.

Georgia was the toughest defense we played all year. Joe escaping and making his own plays is how we dominated them.

Auburn definitely has the best front 4 in the country hands down.

Georgia secondary and linebackers are literally a great veteran unit.

The big difference in comparing both of them to Clemson is Clemson has an offense.
