But if it's only a temporary thing (2 years) why would anyone want to spend money to blacktop it?
Remember that the TAF would get no money from a parking garage ... that would benefit the school.
Motorhome parking benefits the school and TAF financially, but the school would still need more student parking elsewhere.

Come and park your $500,000 RV in our new gravel unconsolidated parking lot for $2k a game. We'll toss in a few stone chips as well for a reward for using our new parking lot.

Athletics certainly would make a lot of money selling parking passes in a garage paid for by Parking that sits across the street from the stadium. Isn't that what TAF exists for anyway (fundraising for LSU athletics)? Oh wait, it is also a cover for lining the pockets of a few elite individuals. No wonder TAF wants its hand in the jar.

They are building a large parking garage on Highland.
A paved lot would allow more student parking (it would quiet down some of the whining but I dont think they need more student parking) and benefit athletics
