Don't get your panties in a wad because JaMarcus didn't feel like talking to you. Both Russell and Flynn led the team to the same record, 10-2.

I'm often amazed how easily some can miss an intended point. The point being made was that of personal character and courage and the willingness to stand forth in even the most difficult of times. Often it takes more than just a strong arm to lead a team to a championship.

Don't be....
Some just want to defend a position, end of story.
and here you are, asking them to actually read and think.

I often hear the simplicity and totalitarian thinking of YOUTH.
EX.
Putting all of the blame on LEE.
1)A good coach gives plays to a player HE can execute, not those he would like for him to execute.
Lee's problem was over the middle In his readings, yet those are the plays he was given
2)HIS RECEIVERS and THE DEFENSE, added to a lot of problems by NOT SAVING him, when a play here, a play there, could have had a better outcome.
3)give the kid a lot of credit, he has a set of brass balls..how many of us at 18 or so, could/would have kept coming back game after game...
and then return the following year.
4)He throws a very sweet deep ball.
5)Personnel should be used to the best of their abilities, not their worst.

and no, to those of you who hate Lee, don't even think of starting your crap, if you are not willing to do a TOTAL evaluation of the situation.

"He's a tremendous player, but he does not seem to fit or embrace much of what they've designed for this offense, nor many of the plays that could get the ball to the difference-makers more often and improve LSU's vertical game. The offense of running sideways is slowly going nowhere while LSU's speed waits to be fully utilized.

LSU's offense is stuck in a slow gear, and it has the horsepower for so much more. Jefferson's timing is off on so much of what this offense is predicated on, and that's a concern for the rest of the season."

Damn strong piece Carl and thanks for stating so eloquently in these two paragraphs what so many of us are feeling. I left the UF game sick to my stomach, and watching Mallet bomb away yesterday brought that feeling back. Wish we could see the old Les show up-the entire season might have a different outcome.

Wow, Carl you articulated a column for Jarrett Lee based on Jordan Jefferson not showing up for an interview after a football game he lost?

Some might see that like you and consider it not taking responsibility........

I see it in a totally different light......

I don't have a problem with Jarett Lee playing qb for LSU for the rest of season, but be careful what you wish for.

Lee hasn't played sqaudosh this season.......yet you've already deciphered he is a better leader........COME ON......

I'm with HOT CARL and KCBasketball, don't sell out and become a sheep.....

Lee's deep threat ability will take pressure off of the o- line. This will also help Scott and Williams. I think he should start, but Shep needs to get in alot with the true wildcat to offer a change. Teams know JJ can't throw and continue to load the box. I could care less if Lee throws a pick 40 yards down field, it will still be better than taking a -6 yard sack on third down.

Good article Carl, ignore the assholes.

TBH, I'm having a tough time seeing inspired leadership from either of our QB's.

Usually like your artciles Carl, but this one sucks. Crowton is the problem; switching to Lee just means seeing Crowton's issues under a new QB. And get off the Jamarcus bashing ( you mentioned him in passing, but in a bad light ) - he was better than Flynn and Mauck at LSU by a mile & if you ever watched Oakland, a blind man with any positive football IQ could see that QB is the least of Oakland's issues. Its just the popular thing to blame JR since he has the ball each snap than to blame the O-line, WR's, coaching, organization, etc, etc.

We would come out yardage ahead when that sack is followed by an 18 yard punt half the time...

Outstanding article Carl, too bad some on here
do not have the ability to understand what you
were saying. Keep bringing the good write-up's.
Maybe someday some will be able to comprehend what
you are writing.

Carl if you actually read this I think you are missing the truth.

Lee nor JJ will suceed as long as the coaching makes them afraid to make a mistake.

IT'S not the QB. IT's coaching both Lee and JJ
have digressed since starting,thats coaching.

I now beleave both Lee and JJ are good qb's,
but someone on the staff is making the afraid to
make mistakes.

This can be done by constantly riding a kid about mistakes.

That's probably about where I'm at right now too. I just hope all who seem to KNOW, that JL is the cure-all are willing to eat crowe if/when JL's substitution still leaves our O in the same/worse predicament than we are in now.
