I don't think he plays anymore. I think he returned to hometown just to work for a living.

exactly, there was a brief period of time in the mid 2000's when CT2 had a good AAU team. That's it

Cody repping his boy Kinsley

I don't think you can compare the SEC to D3.

If by work you mean thuggin' and lovin' it, then yeah.

And the Mr. Basketball (and football for that matter) is a joke. It's picked by local sportswriters, not recruiting analysts, and doesn't consider recruiting rankings, etc.

The half the voters haven't seen the players even play.

Has a player from Zwolle ever played at LSU? They seem to always have some talent that goes to waste.

TJ has told former LSU players and those affiliated with the program to take a hike. He does not need nor want their support. Straight from the mouth of a former starting basketball player under Dale less than a week ago.
Don't try and put TJ's shitty recruiting and barely average coaching on somebody else, let alone historical supporters of our team.
This mess is on TJ. Brady has been gone 3 years and it only takes a handful of kids to have a great basketball program.

Also looking at that list I see Bernard King was from Gibsland-Coleman. Where in the heck is that?

Tasmin Mitchell is butch pierre's godson he was coming here no matter what. I can tell you this and you can believe it or not. TJ told CT after garrett graduated he no longer needed his services. TJ made that choice. Simply amazing. CT is an LSU guy and is totally embarassed with the state of this program and would help if he were asked to. I believe that next time he will be asked to help will be for advice on who the next coach needs to be.

I sure TJ did, but who gives a frick? CT2 not being involved has nothing to do with the state of the team or recruiting, because CT2 has had nothing to offer

If you don't think CT2 couldn't help your dreaming. It's pretty obvious no one in the program can evaluate talent, I can tell you this CT would have told him not to sign any of these kids, except turner. A phone call or two from him couldn't hurt. He knows people all over the country in the bb world. When your this bad it doesn't hurt to have a little local support.

well hell, we should just hire CT2 to coach the team. I don't know why we bothered with Brady or Johnson

Why in the hell would a basketball coach need to consult a supporter on offering kids? Please listen to yourself.

Firing TJ will only put the basketball program further behind. He seems to be in good shape for the two best players in the state next season Felix and Gathers. Bridgewater should be his to lose the season after and then in 2014 Victor who is Felix's team will be one of the better players in the country. If you fire him you risk losing Felix and Gathers then you are behind another 3-5 years.

Why not scratch Collis and see what Garrett thinks of both coaches. When Collis' time is done, someone has to run the lab and produce these all-world players that are apparently all over baton Rouge.

I think Trent should get next year but not because of this rationale. You never let a coach stay just to try to keep a recruiting class together especially if the two guys targeted aren't even committed. Felix isn't even that big of a recruit and Victor is just a freshman you can't let that determine the future of your program. Not to mention other coaches can recruit as well it's not like these guys are attached to the hip with Trent like say Frank Wilson and Freak Johnson.

I think the fact that he isn't around much these days has more to do with the fact that he has stage 3 colon cancer and less with his personal feelings towards TJ. Get a grip guys, Big Temp has bigger things to deal with right now.

You are full of shite. I know for a fact that Trent has reached out to former players big time. There have been twice the reunion type events under him as in the past.

There are always going to be bitter former players, because they think they got snubbed or dissed or got turned down for some favor they asked.

If Collis Temple is pissed, which I highly doubt, it's because he thought Trent might be his puppet, which didn't happen.

Besides, CT's influence doesnt extend much outside BR. There hasn't been a Baton Rouge area player sign with a BCS level school since maybe Marcus Thornton. Bridgewater is the only one on the horizon for the next few years. It's really a stupid argument. Langston Galloway? Give me a break.

What inability? The last time I read CT's comments about Coach Johnson they were very positive, as in, he's going to turn it around.

Thanks for pointing that out, Russian.

CT loves LSU and is very positive for us.
