First, Cowherd doesn't know what it means to be an loyal fan of anything, so I would not let him tell me what constitutes as a fan.
Second, LSU and other universities are NOT a product. ITS A SCHOOL! An alumni are not a bandwangoners, they are wanting to see their team be the best it can be through thick and thin.
This quote by him is a main reason why he is a douche bag.

So I was stupid in the 90's when I still loved LSU in spite of the product on the football field and smart now bc we are one of the top programs?

You can support a team and complain about them without it being a bandwagon situation.
Bandwagoning pertains more to when somebody will support a team when it is winning and as soon as that team starts losing cares nothing about them and is on the next team. Talking about your team and the needs it has makes you a more passionate fan in my eyes.
As for as last season JL got the blame for a lot of the problems with the team, but in my eyes he was a victim of circumstance. The 2 DC thing did not work and we are stronger there with JC at the helm. RP's actions and lack of depth at QB caused JL to be thrown to the wolves and be attacked by many of LSU fans unjustly. Don't get me wrong I like JJ and RS a lot and I think it is JJ's time. Since JJ and JL are both sophs, I don't know how in a couple of years it will work out. When I heard JL might transfer to SFA or NSU, I thought that might be best for him, but when he came back I was very happy. I still don't think it is his time, but I think of him in the mold of a Flynn or Mauck type that would be an excellent 5th year starter. All those 2 did was lead us to a NC.

I don't much care for this know-it-all douche bag, but I agreed with him this morning. He was saying that fans who stay behind there team despite mediocrity are NOT loyal fans BUT stupid fans. He continued to say that you are paying for a product, and if the product is not any good for what you pay, then you have every right to complain.
so exactly where in the hell are you trying to go with all this BS?

If you think lopsided wins in the Peach Bowl, Sugar Bowl and his year's Chick-Fil-A bowl is the sign of a bad football program, you are a idiot.
If you think he was referring to a football program that has produced two BCS Championships in the last six season, you are a double idiot.
Take this thread to Saints Talk if bitching floats your boat.

Immature college geeks, don't you love'm.

I agree with Cowherd, I just don't think it applies to LSU or any SEC school. If I was a fan of say North Carolina and the university kept taking my football ticket money and spending on the basketball program I would be stupid to continue to give them my money.

And you don't expect other fans not to jump on confrontational moronic crap (supported by you) like this.

Colin Cowherd is stupid.

Colin Cowherd will say anything that he or his handlers believe will boost ratings, regardless of whether it is (a) violently inconsistent with something he said 5 minutes (or 5 days) before, or (b) true.

The vast vast majority of fans do not pay for the product. With that being said, yes fans should complain when their team is sucking.

Complaining about a mediocre season after a national championship is okay but being a loyal fan through thick and thin is "Stupid?"
Anyone who agrees with that is stOOOOOOpid!

You're an ignorant, little, frustrated queer; ain't cha?

This may be true for pro sports, but is totally irrelevant to college athletics.
I will agree with you that Cowherd is a douche, but that does not put him in a minority for a lot of sports 'authorities'.

LSU Fans.
Category 1. Were born in the 60's or earlier. A Lot like me, born in 57, don't remember the Nat. Title in 58. But followed the Tigers religiously, through thick and thin. Hardly saw LSU play unless had season tickets or new someone who did. Very rarely on T.V. Most of the time underdogs. Won a lot, but never got bye Alabama,(The Bear Years) to get into Nat.Champ. picture.
Category 2. Born in the 70's or later. Watch LSU all the time because of exposure on cable and satellite. Used to them winning, and of late Nat.Championships. Need instant gratification, and when they don't get it they need some type of pacification, bitching, fire the coach, get rid of the QB, or just stop watching the game regardless of the outcome.
In summary. Its a game played by kids. They are not pro's yet. Sure I get pissed, and upset by the things that I cannot control. But I still bleed purple and gold, and will follow them come thick or thin. Remember, you know what they say about opinions, every body's got one.

You and Cowshit are morons and obviously don't really pull for anybody. The real mark of good fans are those who always pull for their teams -- Red Sox, Cubs, for 45 years Tiger fans who did not win a national championship. Please don't go to any more games ever.

I've never liked the term "product" in reference to a sports "team". You eat a cheeseburger, and what comes out of your arse is a "product".
