Not sure where to put this but this seems to be where the knowledge is highest. I'm not trolling, just want y'all's fan based opinion on him.
Is he a good "Plan B" to bounce Cody Upright out of Chicago in case "Plan A" (Robbie Gould) gets tagged? His 42 yard kick vs Auburn looked to be good from close to 50. Other kicks seem to barely make it over the crossbar from the same range. Chicago is notorious for the wind playing tricks and shifting like crazy. The wind on the flags on top the stadium tend to blow one way while the field level & upright flags are all over the place. We just need a kicker who won't hit the Upright 4 fricking times in a game played during perfect kicking weather.
I think the tolerance will be high if he makes the 40-45 yarders reliably as he builds up his leg. (Robbie could barely make it from 50 the year they curb stomped the Aints in the 2006 NFCCG.) What's the story on him not starting his career at a D1 school?

Cole is not an NFL kicker. Might get into a camp.... might even have a throw-a-way 7th rd pick used in him( which I doubt) but he has not got the leg for the NFL. Great college kicker, but the skill set is unlikely to translate over to the league.

In a dome I think he could be a solid option, but you’re completely right in places like Chicago, that wind would kill him.

I'm not even sure about that. Kicking touchbacks is important and I don't think he has the leg strength to do it. So unless someone has a punter that can boot it out the end zone, I don't see Tracy's upside being enough to land one of the 32 jobs, most of which aren't vacant. Now the AAF may be an option. Field goals only there.

I don't in any way disagree with your post. I just want to throw in that if ever there was a year where a guy like Cole could get a legit shot, this is it.
A lot of teams have kickers on expiring contracts and will have to pay to retain then (Saints being one). I forget the exact number but it's more than a typical year.
If he can add 5 yards to his range, anything can happen.
Extra points being moved back may help him get a foot in the door too. Guys who can make those kicks consistently and still hit on a high % of FGs will get their chance.
I wouldn't wager money on Cole being on an NFL roster to start the regular season, but I said the same thing about Wade Richie so who knows (not me).

Yeah Cole Tracy is extremely accurate with a leg that would be in the bottom 3rd of the league in strength, I'm sure.
If not, maybe even the worst.
But I'm having a hard time understanding why your worried about a kicker in the draft. Just hold a veteran tryout and sign an Ufa like everyone else does

Looks like the queers want him now that Robbie is demanding a trade to Chicago. Not a bad place for a guy who's in the bottom third in leg strength but fairly accurate inside 40. This board looks like a fine dining restaurant compared to their board's ghetto McDonald's feel. They've been losing their damn minds all night now that he's told them to go F themselves.
