Quote from Advocate article. Umm...not sure it’s a good thing for a head coach to have a father/son dynamic with one of his top assistants. Could never imagine Saban saying this about any of his coaches. CEO needs quit trying to be everyone’s dad or buddy and drive freaking accountability.

First of all that comment was awhile back. Secondly, parents hold kids accountable all the time. Not sure what your point is

I mean he did coach him at SC, was the D Line coach there when Nielsen was a GA, and then he hired Ryan for his first coaching job at Ole Miss. So yeah I’d say Coach O is sort of like a mentor and someone who’s taught Nielsen a lot about football and probably even life too.

I love the daily rant overreactions to everything anyone does.

Not in the way Head Coaches should hold everyone in their programs accountable in the ultra-competitive, high stakes world of college football.

is that what he’s doing with Jake Peetz?

O has been in coaching circles his entire life. Some of his hires are going to be people he worked with or coached. Stop being a pussy

Yeah, it really sucks when a mentor figure that you've known since you were in college, worked under and learned from, decides to take such an interest in your life that he wants to treat you as he would treat his own son.

He said that about Burrow too. Care to psychoanalyze that relationship?

There is a joke about how he treats blondes that are young enough to be his daughter here somewhere.
