Because reasons. You just don't get it. Obviously you've never played the game.

Coach O saw that the O lineman couldn't handle the Bama D line so he set up double teams. Then two of our O lineman still couldn't handle one of there D lineman. That is just sad. He didn't call anybody out by name so I don't feel that he thew anybody under the bus. The O lineman know they got dominated and they know it wasn't because of lack of coaching or play calling.

So in your opinion, Southeastern pushing our guys around was because of talent and not horrible coaching/play calling? Southeastern just has better guys than LSU?

Leaders should take on all the blame and give out all the credit/praise. O's comments regarding getting beat up front and needing better recruits is not that. Whether you wanna call it throwing players under the bus or deflecting blame, it is not what leaders do. I think O has don't a great job of rallying the team to a better than expected season, but this is not his finest hour. When you get your arse kicked, you absorb the responsibility, and take the public pressure off of your players. LSU's talent is there now to compete, but there is no excuse for that offensive performance beyond coaching.

He fired a coach that mustered 10 points against a better Bama D on the road last year, and hired a guy who has scored zip in 8 quarters and can't figure out a scheme to move the ball with any consistency. It looked like a little league offense, and I fear it will cost Orgeron those coveted recruits he spoke of in the presser. The teams that can beat Bama's defense (Auburn, Clemson, Ole Miss and Sumlin's A&M) all run the same style offense with good QBs who are mobile, and LSU has the personnel to do it. Burrow isn't Newton, Manziel or Watson, but he's capable of running a spread scheme and scoring points.

There are times and places for candor. I disagree with you. Lawrence, Fehoko and Alexander poured everything they had into the game. CEO cited that he needed to have better Dlinemen. That is true, but should not be stared publicly. Tell the truth, but do it in your office, and with tactful leadership.

Go ask Rashad Lawrence how he took it

Wasn’t Rashard a 5 star coming out of high school?
To be completely honest on tell the truth Monday , has Rashard lived up to his lofty ranking? At some point the players have to get it done right? I don’t see him being the impact player that he was billed to be. When he does make any sort of penetration he looks very slow.

Telling people your team got their butts kicked is an honest assessment that your team and fans should learn to accept.

Saying that you need to recruit better up front is telling people that you think your players are beyond coaching and you will do better with the next group.

It's not a good look.

Not like it matters anyway, we still got skull dragged by Bama at home without scoring a single point.

Again.

They don’t want to hear it. They’re back in full blown O hate mode.

My issue with his comments was, I didn't hear a lot of what he could change about the way he prepared for the game. It was all about how the players got manhandled.

When you're a leader and you lose, you're supposed to say "I", as in focus on what you could do better. I'm not saying there's not a place for calling out specific efforts, but I'd say most of what comes out of your mouth should be focused on how you could prepare better.

When you win, it's supposed to be about sharing the glory.

He didn’t say “saddhiq Charles got his arse kicked” he said our linemen weren’t big and strong enough, which was true

Those players aren't going to get a lot bigger and stronger by next week.

So you're saying they're not good enough and they won't be for the rest of the season. How is that constructive?

He didn’t say that. He said they weren’t good enough to beat bama, which is true.

Listen to all of his post game comments on a win. First thing he says is I give credit to the coaches. Notice he didn't say anything about coaching Saturday night? He's doing everything he can to protect his coaches.

Well, the TRUTH is that we have been burned in multiple games including La Tech, Southeastern, Florida, and Bama by increasing protection and giving the qb less options. Literally, having 7 man protect, 3 man routes where the DL is able to get to the qb with a 4 man rush.

Why continue to do something that your players consistently struggle with? I have two issues with some of the things they say. 1) WR is the strength of our team. (Well, if it's the strength, there should never be less than 4 of them on the field unless we are in a short yardage scenario.) There needs to be more quick options. 2) We need to recuit better players....(You need to coach the players you have)

Realistically, it's a combination and not just a recruiting issue. Not having Ingram and Taylor this year played a large part in our deficiencies. Taylor... in the Florida game because of no Phillips. And, well, Ingram was our best OL. We do have issues that need to be fixed in recruiting, but also we have this horrible thought process that seems to have been carried over from the Miles era that you fix pressure by adding more bodies to block. It's maddening.

I'm not a fan of how O is communicating in regards to talent level, but, we will see if this backfires or what.

How would you like it if your employer told the rest of his employees he needed to go get a better employee to replace you because you weren’t good enough and that’s why his company was failing?
Would you want to work for that boss.
O is a coward
