In high school our coach didnt let us leave the gym until we hit 10 straight free throws.

same for us, except for every miss in a set of ten, we had to grab ankles, and he'd hit us with a belt for each miss,I don't know if it helped our FT shooting, but after a while I started missing more on purpose

Anytime a player fails or under performs, it is coaching. Players are infallible

We saw today a team we want to be like. A good learning experience

I think it was more for show/quasi humiliation because the cheerleaders and dance team practiced close enough to see, and they got a good laugh, didn't really hurt, although that coach was one of the biggest pricks to walk the face of the earth

I recall JJ reddick saying he shoots 1k times a day. Thats why he was such a good shooter and at i know he was the alltime acc point leader his sr year.

You think pistol pete only practiced during team practice? frick no, its up to the players.

Definitely, his dad was fricking obsessed with the game. Since he was too old to play in the NBA when it was formed, he made it his life's work to make sure little pete would play in the NBA. Can you say, over-bearing father?

never said that, just some focus on it would help.

Coach Jones is very big on free throw shooting. It is something they work on, but for some reason LSU hasnt done well from the line. I think these players will know and work on it over the offseason.

I'd like to see them spend a little of the warm-up time before a game to take turns shooting some free throws.....hopefully get in a rhythm.

Unfortunately free throws never make ESPN highlights. But, then again, neither do teams who lose in the second round of their tournament.

It's called getting your arse to the gym and shooting them over and over...every single day. They also need to shoot a bunch more after they are worn out from a full practice.
