I am aware of the fact that quite a few of you dislike Coach Fargas. I do admit that she has not been able to attract top-notch talent to LSU. Having said that, I do believe that she is a good coach in terms of knowledge and on the court coaching ability. The fact is that we are having a good year, and we really aren't that talented of a club. I too believe that is time for her to produce, and I see signs of that. Hopefully, she can continue to win this year and bring better players to LSU.

This isn't going to go well.

The hell are you talking about? The talent on this team is actually pretty good.

Does anyone have any good reason to believe that we can expect different performance, or different results in the future?
If not, why do we just keep treading water with what was once one of the best programs in the country? At least we could staunch some of the monetary losses...

The rest of this season will depend on the status Ayana Mitchell's injury!

I agree that I would not give her that much more rope so to speak. She can coach and is proving that. Let's see how far this team goes and how recruiting goes. I would be all in for Mulkey, but I do not see that happening. As far as Chapman is concerned, absolutely not.

I've always thought good coach - poor recruiter. Coached up inferior talent. Still doing it - I think she's beaten an Aggie team twice this year that has more talent than us.

WBB will always bleed money. Hell, baseball which is very popular barely turned a profit.

But is that an intelligent argument?

That much money, what Fargas earns, is not an entitlement!!

UConn’s women’s basketball team loses money. LSU’s will never be profitable. Just stop.

The WNBA operates on a revenue share from NBA.

LSU Football = National Champions.
LSU Basketball = Undefeated* SEC defending champions.
LSU Baseball = Advanced to 2019 SR, 2020 preseason ranked #11
LSU Women's Basketball = gravy.

Sue and Pokey both had competitive teams. Nikki is a good person but needs to hire a solid recruiter

IF she does not then a change will be in order

Nikki is essentially the same kind of coach Sue Gunter was, before she let Pokey take over the recruiting in 1994. That is, a good Xs and Os coach, but not able to bring in top talent. Thus, just as they were before Pokey, they'll be a perennial team ranked in the 20-25 range nationally and be lucky to make it to the sweet sixteen in the NCAA tournament. It's sad, but until Nikki hires a great recruiter to her staff, she'll always get sub-par talent. As a former season ticket holder, I hate what she's done with the program.
