Remember when he caught that pass at the sideline at bama, and did a stutter step then shot up the same sideline to the right? what most people might not think about is he caught that pass with the defender guarding the same sideline. He literally fakes to the left and then goes just straight..... at the exact time that the defender was leaning outside... To that left.. just barely giving him the momentum to carry him to the first down. Who tf does that?
I've never seen a defender try to pin someone to the sideline, with only a foot to spare... yet still get faked out to that same sideline, gaining almost ten yards?? lol

What about the Clemson defender that fell backwards out of his shoes when Jefferson shook him

First RB off the board in the 2020 draft. And well deserved.

I remember that play like it was yesterday. It was one of those moments I couldn’t believe. I wish there was a better camera angle to see it.

That was the biggest play of the game imo. If Bama gets the stop, They have the ball with a chance to go up. Our defense was having trouble stopping them.

Clyde’s spin move and his lower body strength is insane. Someone posted that PFF stats so reposting them here:

Edwards-Helaire broke 70 tackles on just 214 carries this season while gaining 782 of his 1,419 yards after contact,” Cam Mellor of PFF wrote. “He added incredible value for a running back by limiting himself to just one fumble and by hauling in 55 receptions for another 453 yards and one touchdown. He led the country with 25 first-down receptions out of the backfield and had the nation’s seventh-most broken tackles after the catch.

I love the fact that gif wasn’t just a flash in the pan, like Dylan Moses’ hype/career.

Clyde will do great things in KC.

Anybody remember playing NFL Blitz and when you did a spin move, the defender would literally fly right through the ball carrier like he was a ghost? That's what CEH reminds me of.

Whenever I started up my dynasty using the 2019 rosters I always go and edit his spin move to 99.

Same with the draft classes on Madden. Never seen someone with as good of a spin move as him.

It was 3rd and 10. He caught a shoe string pass, turned, saw a first round DB bearing down on him, stuttered and then buried Trevon Diggs to get the first.

Saved the game as much as his other fantastic runs, including the touchdown he basically just ran over everybody to put up our final score.

Clyde may be the best RB in the 2019 draft. It will be close, but I think his versatility and YAC pull it off.

He is slower Barry Sanders. Not quite as good in the other ways either but that is in no way an insult. He is the closest to Barry Sanders of someone that I have seen in a very long time if at all. He's a team player, has the ability to block, has the ability to catch, has the ability to make people miss in space with his shiftiness and balance, and most importantly has the determination to flat out run over people at times. I couldn't be happier for him with all he has achieved and going to the Chiefs. They are going to utilize him well

Second coming of Dalton

Not really. Similar in that they are both short, powerful, and a little slow. But Dalton was a lot slower than Clyde. He had a different running style, too. Dalton did not have the lateral moves that Clyde has, but his cutback ability was without equal. I don’t recall Dalton having a spin move, either.

As a runner, I’d take Dalton over Clyde. In fact, I’d take Dalton over just about anyone within five yards of the line. But I’ve never seen a back get caught so many times when it appeared he was gone. Dalton would take a pitch moving right, then cut back upfield with a suddenness and explode through the defense. He was a good receiver, but I’d take Clyde over Hilliard as a receiver. And Clyde’s spin moves and lateral moves are better. Hilliard was a very punishing runner as well. Safeties did not want to tackle Hilliard. Both backs were tough as nails.

In today’s game I’d definitely take Clyde over Hilliard.
