Someone at work was talking about clemson’s defense and how its in the top 5 in stats...it prob aint hard do get into the Top 5 if they dont play anybody all year....plus they gave up 500 yds of offense to Ohio St....i just dont see how Clemson is going to stop LSU...i really dont

It's probably around 3rd best Lsu has seen

Lack of pass rush wo blitzes would be my biggest concern if I was clemson

Auburn’s better. Bama and Georgia probably on par. Auburn was the only team we sort of had any trouble with defensively.

Probably a great defense regardless of schedule but LSU office is better.

That’s because they have the beat interior defensive line in the country. We still drove on them at will between the 20’s and then shite the bed in the red zone. I still think as a whole Georgia was the best defense we’ve played. You mentioned bama but I don’t think their defense was that great this year. Georgia, Auburn and Florida were the best we played and I think all of them are as good if not better than Clemson.

Yes they are, but they are not light years better than some of the defenses that LSU has faced.

Florida, Auburn, and UGA are comparable.

Right. It wasn’t a GREAT defense by Bama standards. It still had as much NFL talent on the field as Clemson and was probably about on par with them overall. Auburn’s, as you correctly surmise, was best suited to stopping us - sort of. I’ll be shocked if Clemson causes us huge problems defensively.

Yes they have a good defense. Is it better than UGA, UF, or Auburn..we’ll find out. Their d-line was much stronger last year but they limited Bama to 16 points. No denying they haven’t played anyone but that can be said for the past few years and they showed up in the title game. Last Year’s Bama offense is this years LSU’s offense. Tua didn’t even play in the 2nd half most of the games last year and put up crazy stats. I think LSU wins but I wouldn’t be surprised if Venables comes up with a plan to limit LSU to 24-30 points where LSU moves the ball but struggles in the red zone.

ehhh, statistically they are slightly worse than Bama's D vs ranked opponents.

The thing about Clemson is that Venables is pretty damn good

didn't look very good in first half against OSU. Dobbins lost that game; Clemson didn't win it.

clemson's defense is weak up front. Football is won in the trenches.

I agree. Losing Damien Lewis last game worries me a bit though. Hoping Tyler shelvin can blow up the running game on the other side of the ball

The best passing offense they have faced all year was Wake Forest.
